You skip a cutscene to get the Missile Launcher, you activate the skipped cutscene, then you are able to get the same Missile Launcher again.

You have an extra Missile expansion early in the game, until you get the final Missile Expansion, which doesn't let you go over the 255 cap.

You said probably need boost ball for Sanctuary Fortress I just wanted to say that I did when I did that. Now that we can skip losing items though it's no problem.

nobody every tells anybody to click the lock-on button.

When doing this you have to click the L-Button.

I just skipped the cutscene and headed out to the Sanctuary Fortress (since the gate didn't close).

I got into the spinner without thinking and now I can't get out, since you have to have bombs to force yourself out. I laughed hard when I realized what I did.

Haha, I remember doing that the first time I found out about this glitch. Too bad that was the farthest we could go until the Boost Ball was obtained.

Yep. You just have to use the scan visor to lock on to the ship, and use it to help you jump over the rock.

i phailed... :( i couldn't do the ghetto jump, so i just did it regularly. the bastardy thing was, right after i did it regularly, i tried the ghetto jump again, and i did it. DDDDDDx i was pissed. lol.

I think its only possible with the original American version and then was fixed in the remake, unless it says NTSC, you can't do most of the glitches

Actually 1 of the reasons I like this game and this particular scene more than most of the other Metroid games, is the Starship Troopers recreation (obviously on purpose) and that feel like in the movie (the first one, the second one was BAD and the last one was HORRIBLE!). One of my favorite movies in a game that has little 2 do with it, plain awesome.
