Great video! On the topic of the hardware comparison, in my opinion, now that the Flip video brand is dead, a Flip camera that can use AA batteries might be helpful. My Flip Mino's battery ions will eventually die but a Flip Ultra will be usable for as long as AA batteries are around, should the hardware stay functioning :)

@projectafilm Just because they are not produced anymore, doesn't mean retailers aren't going to be stocking them for a while. Also, you can still purchase discontinued products second hand. So this review just helps people who may wish to acquire such a product get a better view of its performance.

The Flip doesn't have the greatest image quality, but it is EXTREMELY easy to use.

I cannot believe you are depressed about Flip Video being dropped. Do you not realize that the cameras were absolute garbage? The only reason they got popular is due to the fact that a few posers "cough" iJustine *cough* started using them and they became a fad regardless of their mediocre performance. Nowadays we have great cameras in our phones so we really don't need these.

Nice review David, I was looking into a Flip camera a long time ago, but I'm glad I didn't invest. They just don't have many features, and now they're dead. I'm also not a fan of the audio quality, judging by your sample. Thanks for the review!

I hate the flip so much. It's over priced, has no expandable storage, horrible mic, and poor video quality. My HTC Thunderbolt 4G takes better video and takes stills, unlike the flip. I'm glad Cisco discontinued them.

i think its good with non re chargeble batterie for the camera, couse i hate when your filming something and the battery dies and you have to wait for it to charge to film more, with that i think regular batteries are better so you can just put new ones in when they dies.
