  • Hey. guys this is my dad. even if you thought this was fake (and you thought wrong) you don't have to be so rude about it. Really get a life

  • the beginning was fake

  • pfft big woop i've been on a mexican sportfishing boat from the 60s that was only 30 ft long in bigger waves. The engine had broken down earlier and they restarted it with a log.

  • Small boat? them my 23 will be what a toy?

  • Wow! Going on my first offshore race this month since this one. Still got fantastic memories, and I am flattered that we have been accused of faking it. I was there. Go Spider!

  • I cannot believe that 15 sad individuals gave this the thumbs down. Get a life gentlemen and comment when you have actually got off your fat arses and done something worthy of watching.

What an amazing pice of footage spiderglide. Good music too. How long did the passage take?

  • Nonsense. These dudes are the real deal! Fake to those who have not had to do this shit. That looks HOT!

  • It looks so fake, the waves in the background.

  • what a load of shit. The only thing real about this was how much you all sat about playing with each other.

  • @CustomC1000 FAKE? The Smiles on These Men's Face's Are NOT Fake!

  • @sailonification - The only thing that might be real about this is the sprog marks at 1:08 u all left behind after fiddling with each other.

  • That is a great video spiderglide. Definately not fake. Well sailed and a great tune to boot. Great work...

  • That is a great video spiderglide. Well sialed, loads of fun... Good tune too. Definately not fake mate. Not fake...

  • it looked fake in the beginning cuz nobody was wearing their PFD. WTF you guys crazy?

  • @cesky69 yes, actually,guilty as charged

  • fake

  • strange how their hats does not fly off ;)

  • Windward Passage: between eastern end of Cuba and Haiti. Almost always blowing stink. Hence, Windward Passage.

  • The accusation that this was fake actually makes me feel really good. Good story value. I tell my friends (six of whom were on the boat with me) that people are actually convinced this was fake! Believe me, the view from the boat looked even more fake. Looked kind of sick actually.

  • Where is the Windward Passage, Very cool!! Thanks for posting

  • this is so fake its funny

  • ye thats not green screen, 100% real

  • song name please?!

  • MGMT - Time to pretend

  • So FAKE green screen background lol nice try.........

  • green screen my ass. I was there. And it was about 10 times more scary than the vid.

  • what kinda kite did you have up?

  • @isamick08 It's not green screen mate, it just looks odd like that because the camera is fixed and moving with the vessel. Ever seen those videos when the camera is strapped on someones helmet and facing their face? Looks weird in those vids too.

  • @isamick08 You are a dick of the highest order and obviously know bugger all about sailing, a blind man with a bag over his head can see this is real, bloody muppet.

@Spiderglide, looks awesome & some nice helming skills there, what were you surfing along at 14-16 knots ??

  • @gubbedagain thanks, when the guy with the hat on winch raises his hands we were doing close to 18, but yes, mostly in the 12-16 range. Speedo read 19.8 once the night before. That is the highest speed we saw. Not bad for a Sydney 36.

  • @isamick08 its not fake

  • I have just realised that I should secure the camera to the boat to get the true effect of the waves and not compensate by hand holding the camera

    Cheers

  • Yes, secure the camera to the boat, but rig some kind of gimbal. The camera should stay level to the horizon, not to the boat. That way, you'll get a much better sense of the boat's pitching and rolling.

  • song name?

  • super cool, great music and excellent surfing!

    Mark - fellow 235 owner

  • Great downwind action there guys. Looks like you all did very well. The Sydney 36 is a lovely boat and I am happy that you did well. Couple of hairy moments there by the looks.

    Well done.

    Mark Smith. Japan.
