  • hehe trespassing on the boonton line track

  • @sarginto3 well, er, um, maybe

  • @ERIELACKU34CH well if its abandoned then probably not, id walk on it, NS may only use it once a year

  • This connection has pros and cons. Pros: It takes people from Montclair to Denville more direct trains to Midtown. More service in Montclair. Cons: Boonton Line east of Pine Street is no longer in service. No weekend service north (RR west) of Bay Street.

  • 3:04 Is that the ex-Boonton line?

  • That's almost like New London. Nice video

  • thanks

  • to bad this line only runs on the weekdays

  • when i was in highschool there were two saturday trains. i wrote a letter to nj transit in the spring, and they told me weekend service would resume at the end of the summer, when broad st station was finished

  • WOW, that's a sharp curve, what's the track your standing on?

  • im standing on the old boonton line, the diesel line that ran down through glen ridge, bloomfield, newark, north arlington and into hoboken. it was the erie line. the lackawanna line paralleled it and they connected them in 2000. NS stills runs trains down the line for some light industry.

  • I own a Railvideo productions cab ride down the old booton line. In El U34CH #4137 (after they remunbered them). it's also in the snow so every time they hit a crossing POW snows shoots up! I'll let you barrow it sometime.

  • holy hannah!!

  • Figured you would like it! I see you changed your channel icon box, where was that taken?

  • that picture is at paterson, on the main line. pretty much the same except now it's high level platforms.

  • Cool, I know you hate hi-level platforms, and just to let you know, the town of Ridgewod is considering hi-level platforms!! I hate them to, but you just can't take an almost 100 year old station and modernize it like that!

  • do u know any of the #s

  • 4403, 4413, 4408, 4125. and the engineer in 4125 gave me a wave and a thumbs-up.

  • thanks what about the one cab car

  • Sounded like 6010 or 6080

  • Unless they reconfigured the trains, I don't think it could have been 6010 or 6080 since both are on trains that have three passenger cars attached.

  • Terrible horn.
