  • The coolest thing in here is that THIS GUY KNOWS how to play the chucka chucka flag patter the correct way...like Chuck Berry invented it !! You will notice how he always goes back to the low string on the flag and chops the chord.....not both low strings......ROCKPILE / Dave Edmunds are also a good example of how this groove SHOULD be played........cudos to mytwangyguitar !! RR

  • Nice!

  • You should definitely do their cover of She Said Yeah. I bet you can make the solo sound more badass. Haha.

  • Great, friend!!!

  • Are chambered Tele-styled guitars (one’s without f-hole) like the one being played known to often be darker in tone then their solid-body counterparts?... It just seems logical to me that guitars like this would likely have a prominent lower tone due to the chamber, possibly even a bit muffled sounding in comparison to solid-bodies. The only chambered electrics I remember playing have had f-holes. From what I’ve gathered, they seem to not resonate as long. Am I right about these things? Thx!...

  • I own Gibson and Fender Custom shop guitars... I can honestly say i want one of this guitar. What amazing quality and tone.

  • Orange!

  • Buenisimo!!

  • Very slick how you suddenly flip out the pick from your ring finger (?) at 2:35! Very cool! You obviously are an extremely good player!

  • Freaking brilliant, man! I daresay you play it better than the Stones themselves. You really show how great the interlocking parts between the rhythm and lead are in the guitar solo section - better than the original recording which has always seemed muddied and hard to follow to me. You also caught many subtleties in this song that I missed when trying to figure out this song. Do you have a video for the lead guitar part too?

  • Brilliant.

  • Really Good My friend, this video help me a lot.......in order to play the song with my guitar.....

    Stones For Ever!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i thought that was a pic!!

  • Hi, question about purchasing a tele. If you would tell some one what tele to get for your first one, which one would that be. I want to get a nice tele, not sure what model, or what pickups I should get in them, the stock ones or are there other pickups you would recommend also. Looking to spend around $1500-1800 total. thanks, great vids.

  • @ceddy1968 Best thing to do, go to the guitar shop, grab several teles, play them tell you find the one you love. They'll all sound a fell a little different. A great U.S.A. Fender tele should be under $1000. Just my opinion.

  • fuck yes :p

  • You Bad Ass thanks!

  • Fuck Yes!

  • The was great! The guitarist played at a good speed so that people could see where the fingers went. The sound was clear, precise. The background music playing was excellent, too. Thank you. That was great!

  • Fantastic flow! Tjohooo!

  • Man, I love that tele you are playing. What a gorgeous color. I assume it is a custom job. And thanks for playing it with the finger style. I have seen a lot of videos of this song and yours is the only version I've fond that sounds accurate. Excellent!!!!

  • I think it needs just a little more cowbell at the first.

Great job guitar man. You sound as if you taught the bands how to play their own songs.

I can tell you play with feel.

  • Good one Musicmaam...

  • Do you teach the trick with the pick on your dvd? You must be a magician!

Congratulations!

  • Sehr sehr gut, wunderbar!

  • 19 people only got their noses blown by honky tonk women...

  • rolling stones have some of the swankiest raunchy guitar parts. gotta love keith richards.

  • Snazzy!!!!!!!

  • My two favorite Stones songs ever Start Me Up & Honk Tonk Woman. Great Songs

  • Hey man, I love your guitar. She really is a queen of the rodeo lol Really sexy and country like Dazy Duke lol in high heels and short shorts and bikini top. One of the coolest Teli's Ive ever seen. Screams Honkey Tonk Great playing 2, cheers

  • Man you brought me back to the boston garden 1969 first time i saw the real rolling stones during the ya yas tour. not the up tempo glen miller band they are now.I had to pull out my deluxe telle and play along with you, mtg you got my rock lava flowing, your making this 62 yr old rocker feel young again. thanks

  • '62 Custom? Looks EXACTLY like mine!!!! :D

  • Man, you play that really well. Top marks.

  • Very very nice. First you do a beautiful job and second makes one appreciate how brilliant a guitarist Ry Cooder was back in the 60's & Keith Richards as well. Wasn't this one of the songs that Cooder sued the Stones for lifting it from him & they settled for an undisclosed amount. Nice job and most interesting to see the genius in the invention of that guitar piece!

  • This one made my day :)

  • This is the best! Thank you for this! sounds great!

  • ITS MORE BETTER THAN ROLLING STONE!!!!

  • Just started looking at clips to improve my hack status of a player. Yours are BY FAR the best I've seen. Mix, Lighting, Musicianship, Song Choices. ThankYou!

  • I love the color of the guitar, I want one just like it

  • ure so fking good!

  • I learned this song from examining this vid. Now its my showpiece! Thanks man.

  • I've not found another cover of this on youtube that is better. Seriously good dude!

  • Ahh that's one tuff lookin tele. Gotta love this lick too

  • @MyTwangyGuitar LOL!

  • @MyTwangyGuitar WIN!

  • T'as cabron carnal. Nuevamente agradecido por el "tip" desde México city.

  • It's weird how all the embellishments get lost in the backing track. The Squier Telecaster demo is so much more fun to watch.

  • nice. what kind of pickups are you playing? Is it a new Deluxe amp, stock? I play a tele and a Deluxe reverb myself...

  • This is great! You play so well!

  • whats the name of that tele colour, im absolutely in love!

  • Mr. Twangy you rock!!!!

  • it was released on my second birthday

  • @MyTwangyGuitar hellz yeah!

  • love this song

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Love the riff and love Keith but I have heard that Ry Cooder showed the tuning and riff to Mick while Keith looked on.

  • the tele tone is dripping out of that guitar...

  • @MyTwangyGuitar haha awesome.

  • wonderful, many thanks. it'd be great to hear Richards comment on stuff like this, just for fun.

  • You make it look easy. Now play it drunk and high on cocaine and jump around and look and act all hot and sexy. ;-)

  • @rainbowschild Funny. Made me laugh.

  • Ive been waiting for you to do this....

    ;-P

    Waht took so long ?

  • is that a birdseye maple neck? it looks killer. also the binding and the tortoise shell...love it.

  • Love It Most Excellent !!!

  • Of course - excellent! But one question about your right hand work: where and how exactly do you hold your pick when not using it? How did you train to change immediatly between fingerpicking and pick? What kind of pick do you prefer? Thanks!

  • you should do "eileen" by Keith Richards :D

  • GREAT job!!!

  • @MyTwangyGuitar haha

  • Cool!!! Try Cant You Hear Me Knockin' !!!

  • Really good

  • Felicidades muy similar el sonido

  • Aw c'mon, show your face.

  • SuperSovietBear approves this video.

  • Thank ya much, Twang!

  • The band Mick Taylor played in. (who were the 14 dislikes? Aliens?)

  • I grew up in '60s London on the Rolling Stones and Beatles music. Initially they copied Chuck Berry songs but later produced some terrific music thanks mainly to Keith's phenomenal prowess as a lead guitarist. But as I follow your renditions across You Tube, you clearly have been able to break down each song and especially the licks into small segments, master them and then put it all together. Thanks for your inspiration! Your hands and the frets are all that is important to present.
