  • not that i have anything against Maggie......but she seems to really be into s&m. "power" seems to be her own preoccupation.

  • Maggie Gyllenhaal is an amazingly beautiful&talented actress.the passion that she puts n her character,n "Secretary",is unbelievable & leaves u n awe!she is also n another movie "Sherry,Baby" & again she puts so much passion&excellence 2 that role,& again ur left n awe!!she really takes her roles & makes them her own &, i think thats just 1 of the many things we love about maggie.i think she is most definitely going 2 b around 4 a long time & i'm excited 2 c what she has planned 4 the future...

  • Maggie, i would like to hook into you! Good movie. Not predictable and surprisingly stimulating. You are one sexy woman

  • glad to see how engrossed she was into the script and how she broke it down to create Lee

    so genuinely animated haha

  • she seems to be very interesting person

  • oh man, she is so beautiful

  • Did the special edition DVD come with an interview with James Spader? I can't find the interviews anywhere :(

  • she's so intelligent and beautiful. this was the first interview i've ever seen of her and i have to say i like the impression i get of her a lot.

  • great interview, Maggie is very precise and expresses herself vividly.

  • I envy her because she is so excited about her work!

I want to feel the same about my work.

  • I love this interview, she really expresses her self with her hands and such, you can tell she was really excited doing that film

  • She's so smart!!!!

  • I need to read Bad Behavior sometime.

  • it's a good read. but the short story secretary is kind of a lot different than the movie. she's a great author though imo, if you like bad behavior you'd like her other stuff as well.

  • Great interview. Thanks for uploading. I've got to buy the "special edition" DVD of this movie somewhere.

  • She seems really passionate about the role. That's what make a great actress.

  • God she's sexy. Pretty face and seductive voice.

  • she has the lovliest speaking voice:)

  • She really has a polite way of putting and painting a harmlessly intriuging picture of to what i first thought to be an out an out porn flick.

  • She is also swedish and jewish actress but hey, she is cute in the dark knight ^-^

  • she's not irish? i thought she was irish.

  • This video gets dangerously close to synchronising with the audio at one point.

  • @ifedthehorse After I read this comment I bursted out with laughter! Good one!

  • this is really cool, she's so smart and excited.

  • many people dont get along w/ Maggie

  • oh, yeah, like who?

  • I always hear people say James is easy to work with and very personable. I think he and Maggie were in perfect sync together for this film. It's brilliant indeed.

  • Also I didn't really understand this movie when I first watched it, but after hearing this interview I understand it a lot better.

  • 4:47

Hahahah. That like completely broke her chain of thought.

  • I'd butter her muffin.

  • Indeed

  • america is responsible for 9/11 dipshit

  • how so, dumbfuck? And be specific

  • it's the american foreign policy.

plus most of western europe and latin america dont like americans because most people are judgemental self-loathing pigs and dont have respect for anyone else and only look out for themselves. so yeah sorry for the innocent people who died or got hurt in 9/11 and the war but people need to fucking learn to simply be nice to other people. its really not that hard.

  • I love her

  • one of my favorite movie. she's perfect for it. either you're on the bus or off. :)

  • one of my favorite movie. she's perfect for it. either you're on the bus or off. :)

  • Watching this interview makes me want to seek out Maggie and take her out for a cup of coffee and have a long, enduring discussion with her. And then take her to some remote location and do some wonderfully naughty things to her.

  • Sounds like a great plan to me, lol.

  • why? because she didn't just fall in line, like a good little sheep, with the rest of the misguided false sense of patriotism to a propagandistic businessman of a president we have? its because of uneducated people like you that Bush and his greedy self serving financial agenda get away with so many unconstitutional crimes. you are a tool. his tool.

  • the words aint really in time with her mouth moving...

    but nice vid anyway

  • She's awesome and I feel Bush is a fucking douche bag and he is a reason for attacks!

  • She's everything you'll never be.

  • I love the passion and energy when she talks!:)

  • she is super cute, smart and a critical thinker.

  • youre very funny you know-_-

  • what the hell is your problem?

  • I've never seen her interviewed. I love how passionate she is about her character and the movie. What an emotionally intelligent young woman.

  • @melissah Yeah! I never seen her being interviewed either. I don't know y but I always thought of her as dippy. Maybe it's the roles she chooses.

  • Very Ellequent description-and that is not the solution for People living like that.

Tempus Omnius Revelat-ESCARGENCY RESEARCH & RESCUE

  • fuck man whys the sound out of sync

  • I wish, but she isn't...

  • Wow Maggie really 'gets' this film and the whole dynamic around D/s. I'm sure some other actresses would just act it out and nothing more but she truly captured it and as said in this interview, she truly understands what D/s is about (of course there's more to it than what was just said here) but she totally 'gets' it and respects it. Maggie is amazing!

  • OMG love this movie, own it, you've got to see it if you have not already.

  • intelligent actress - interesting interview

  • D/s hell yeah

  • She is one of the most refreshing actresses out there. She is a revelation in Secretary and she seems very intelligent and wise when talking to the press and/or talk show circuits.

  • great movie

  • God, she's is so completely cool, hip, and real. Even more than I expected from seeing her film work. Let's just put it this way; she's alive. really alive.

  • Wow what a nice interview, i love her spirit, the things she says about the movie are so true! She had a great way with words!

  • Riiight, because being enthusiastic and fabulously articulate and interesting makes one a nerd. Lots of people move and speak that way without a physical script. I'd take the time to point out that everyone, yourself included, operates according to an intangible script, but that would be soooo "nerd"y of me.

  • That bit about intangible scripts is a little nerdy, but, hey, some of us girls like nerds. ^_^

  • And some of us girls are nerds who like nerds. ;)

  • I LOVE her. She expresses herself so animatedly. Simply adorable. You can tell she loves what she does and puts her heart/soul in to her work/art. Keep up the great work, Maggie, I'm inspired by your work.

  • Just seen Stranger than Fiction - she's a Goddess

  • Actually there is very little bondage in the movie, just a short clip at the beginning and a small bit towards the end. This is a movie about Dominance and Submission in which the female is the submissive and her boss the Dominant. The interesting thing about this movie is that it shows the female as being more submissive than the man is Dominant. Lee Holloway needs to be dominanted, and almost has to drag her boss into the Dom role.

  • I think that you missed one part of the D/s in this movie... and that is HE needed to learn what he wanted was OK. His character had to come to grips with that fact before he could be the DOM she actaully needed him to be.

  • Bondage & Discipline (B&D)

    Domination & Submission (D&S)

Sadism & Masochism (or Sadomasochism) (S&M)

  • Clever... I only knew about the S&M part.

  • wots BDSM

  • ^^ look, it's "doesn't get the movie guy." She's a great, disciplined actress & does not, nor NEEDS to choose "shitfest" movies. Guess she saw more into in that you did. oh well. to each their own. Peace.

  • First of all, I'm a girl, thanks. Second, I completely understood the movie, which is why I didn't like it. Obviously she didn't think the movie sucked, but I did.

Let it go and move on. Thanks.

  • someone needs a spanking...

  • lol

  • No, you didn't get it.

  • Interesting interview with the female lead of one of the few movies which actually takes BDSM seriously.
