Omg! The lizard at 2:31 is native to were i live! I live in New Mexico, USA, and these little buggers are always running around my yard when it's warm :)
ferrets, by far the coolest, funniest creatures i ever came across, i used to have a couple of them, im from ireland btw, ppl here love ferrets too, but there used here for hunting(rabbits) mostly, i kept mine in the house though
Not 100%, but if I had to guess I'd say I'm fairly half n half that that "glider" as he put it was an Australian marsupial belonging to the category of banned exports... No big shit if I'm right, I'm just saying...
@ihatemice1 Checked it out and I am right, it's a Sugar Glider, "The sugar glider is protected by law in Australia, where it is illegal to keep them without a permit[20] or to capture or sell them without a license (which is usually only issued for research)." - Sugar Glider @ wiki. I'm fairly sure some of the Australian lizards they had come into the same category too. You definitately shouldn't be selling them as pets.
@ihatemice1 No doubt 80% of them died during transport in some guys luggage between Sydney and Tokyo. How much did you say they were selling them for in the pet shop?
Awesome. Amazing animals. By the way, that amphibious looking lizard in the video is called a horned toad. They come for the south-western part of the US if I'm correct. Hail Japan.
In Sweden, we eat crayfish in August. My girlfriend who is Japanese thinks we are weird because we eat them and that they are taken from rivers (although the Swedish ones are from lakes). Ontop of that, while she thinks it's weird for us to eat crayfish, Japanese on the other hand has crayfishes as pets...
I know that a type of fox is very popular pet among the Japanese now. And the bunnies are so cute! I've seen some "Japanese bunnies" being sold in supermarkets in Taiwan, they're like miniature fluff balls.
i just have to say, it seems lke you put a huge amount of work into your videos. you deserve more suhbscribers. When my subscription box is full, and i dont feel like watching any of them, i always feel like watching yours :)
Looks like my pet store and that japan's store keep almost the same pets. Except we can't legally keep things like hedgehogs and perhaps that was a sugar-glider.
Looks like my pet store and that japan's store keep almost the same pets. Except we can't legaly keep things like hedgehogs and perhaps that was a sugar-glider.
the only pet i ever had was a golden retriever..after his death i couldn't bring myself to fall in love again.thanks for this vid..maybe i'll visit the nearby petshop again.they are so cute..XD
I had a snake and a rabbit before. The only two pets I ever had to take back. Me and my family, we never take animals back. It's like if your going to take it back you shouldn't have gotten it in the first place. Mom was too scared of the snake and she was going through cancer so we had to bring him back. The rabbit... we have cats and... it just didn't work out. :/
I feel like snakes should be kept wild~ after having one.

their variety of pets to what they consider TO BE pets, is at a pretty wide range isnt it.
I mean here in the US we have your typical cat and dog, hamster, gerbils, ginny pigs, (the list goes on only a little further) sometimes birds and turtles. But Japan has a lot of animals they consider to be pets. They look like something youd only see in a zoo but really they do seem pet-like.
@poopdood321JP search for jerboas, sugar gliders, bengals, fennecs, etc... the US have a lot of weird pets as well, it's just California that has a stick up their butt about pet control.
@2.20 issint that a sugar glider? I'm just curious why people want them as pets and they dont seem to be classified under "exotic" pets. sugar gliders are mainly nocturnal, everytime i see them in zoos or pet stores they're always fast asleep. They would make boring pets (at least to me) but i believe something small and fairly rare like that deserve to be wild D: (my 2 cents)
