Is the image stabilisation good on this camera? I've heard reports of it being really bad.

i have a sony dscp200 at 30 fps and i don't see any difference in quality

thAT IS BECAUSE YOUTUBE compresses files down to 30 frames per second and regular quality.

Thanks for the footage. I like the image quality of the Z8i al lot but the image stabilization and zoom of the Sanyo CG10 are better. Still not sure which one to get.

I would say Zi8 because its a VIDEO camera. I'd go for VIDEO quality. You ca get image stabilization software on your computer (for me, iMovie) and think about what you plan to shoot. Do you really plan to be shooting stuff from far enough away that you need a string optical zoom?

The Zi8 in black has been available on the Kodak website. The colors are available in September.
