Juan is a great acrobat.. I don't think the judges care if he is mexican, italian, or whatever..thats not the case. The handstand is just one move out of hundreds of moves mostly created by the past American and Italians. I've seen them all over the years since I am nearly 42. The new guys are great and they are doing tricks simular to the ones from the past winners. Juan's moves along with the new Americans are variations of the past.With the exception of manzi new moves this year. My last post

When all the world pizza champions get in your head Its hard to pull your new trick!!! Did you watch the battle in the piano bar between juan, vicenzo and antonio manzi? No body has ever done handstands, And it wasnt new trick from manzi it was just too many across the back. No body pulls new tricks only moves, cus its hard to do drifent stuff then the basic...if you know what Im talking about...

I can see very diferent Styles, and are good , like Manzi, Tesauro and Gemignani, but the true is,Juan came to revolutionize the movements and the style of pizza spins introducing acrobatic new movements, the famous "handstands" and a new way of seeing the pizza spinners. Maybe what I can believe, is that the judges doesn't like very much of that he's Mexican and they don't accept the fact, because this year really Juan overcome for much the others and again they denied the first place to him.

In preferences the genres are distinguished. Yes it´s true Juan never has won a world Title, but really have a great polemic about the places when he won 4th place and this 2nd place in Italy. But the true is he is really graet.

I have watched him and all the acrobats for years.. I am a baker myself. Juan has come in 9th, 4th and now 2nd. The amercians usually dominate the acrobatics. this year 3rd,4th,5th. The young manzi kept it in italy this year and Vincenzo Tesauro and Manzi are respected throughout the world in acrobatics..along with Gemignani, Giacometti, and Bertuzzo. Credit only goes to comeptitors who shine above the rest. Being good is one thing being great is another..Being respected is rare these days.

been watching these acrobats for years in salso..I have a shop in England and just got back from the World Pizza Championships..That Manzi guy is trully the best I have seen. The Americans did very well. Juan did good. Its' funny to watch becuase you see Juan always having to ask for applause when he comeptes.. If your bloody good u don't have to ask for applause. That Manzi did tricks nobodys done and was better than last year. The Americans won it last year. Juan has never won a world title.

Juan was also a little too cocky. That turned me off a little. Just spin the dough or I will start off all my routines by folding boxes real fast then asking for applause, but pleeeease don't tell me I look beautiful. OK who are you again?? I have never been to Italy for the games but have been competing in the american games for 4 years now and won 11 medals in every competition!! I have been in the pizza industry for 13 years, soo maybe, expert may have been too strong a word, but I would go head to head in any pizza place against anyone. (I'm kinda a badass.. shhh don't tell anyone.) Are you like Mozart or something? All of my routines have beats and the spinning goes along with the music.

Maybe you have seen one or two of my routines. I just think you are way too into Juan it's starting to make you come off kinda weird. I think he is definatly a great pizza spinner but why must you trash the other competitors? They work hard at what they do and Jay was the better man that day. Damn I didn't think this would get soo personal. 1st off who the f is Justin Cruff? C'mon dude leave this to the experts. Jay's routine was sweet Juan's routine was sweet. Jay busted the handstand(yes it wasn't as smooth but it also wasn't his trick, that was the point) It stole all the glory of Juan's handstands. (As a matter of fact I have tried it a few times since, it ain't that hard and I'm a little on the chubby side).

es muy dificil decir cual es el mejor...juan hermosillo tiene un estilo rapidisimo y muy tecnico,antonio fiorigio quiza deveria haber ganado en el 2007,antonio manzi tiene un estilo magico ,jay shurman es buenisimo,francis tolu en su epoca a ganado dos veces el mundial,y hay muchos mas...yo pienso que lo que hay que tener en cuenta son las actuaciones en los campeonatos pero sin contar con la valoracion del jurado.

Rigged? Does anyone realize that the judges were made up 2 Italians (who did not speak English), 1 Canadian, and 2 Americans? None of the judges had any connections to the event, magazine, competitors or anyone else.

Zbigniew Preisner...The music is really great He´s awesome... I cant undestand, why he didn´t won the first place? Have a great diference between Juan and the first Place, a very great diference. He was so original with his performance! Juan deserved the first place... he looks so Beautiful!!! He is the best in the world... y aqui en México lo amamos y valoramos mucho.
