@laior Evolution takes time, of course we wouldn't see this over just a few generations. But as for changes in bacteria, we can see that with bacteria mutating to fight antibiotics. That's why you shouldn't take too much antibiotics cos the bacteria may get a chance to mutate so the antibiotics wouldn't effect it. That of course isn't evolution but it is a step towards evolving.

This is not always true though but with many species its why many of the fossils we have that have no living members of that species went extinct. Nylon was invented in I believe the 1940s... so how could bacteria that only eats nylon survive for that long, without it's food source? Scientists were able to cause bacteria to evolve that way again by taking bacteria and putting it in a nylon rich environment, and the same mutation occurred where it ate the nylon.

@laior Evolution takes time, of course we wouldn't see this over just a few generations. But as for changes in bacteria, we can see that with bacteria mutating to fight antibiotics. That's why you shouldn't take too much antibiotics cos the bacteria may get a chance to mutate so the antibiotics wouldn't effect it. That of course isn't evolution but it is a step towards evolving.

@laior Intermediates usually failed to adapt the way the current species have. Thus they generally die off. This is not always true though but with many species its why many of the fossils we have that have no living members of that species went extinct. They failed to adapt or some catastrophic event happened. I sure hope English is a second language for you.

Nylon was invented in I believe the 1940s... so how could bacteria that only eats nylon survive for that long, without it's food source? Scientists were able to cause bacteria to evolve that way again by taking bacteria and putting it in a nylon rich environment, and the same mutation occurred where it ate the nylon.

@xbroadcaster1991 Because hair doesn't fossilize. Bones do. Richard Dawkins is an atheist but thats not what he is trying to prove. Evolution is what he is trying to show to everyone is true. And he has mounds of evidence for that.

@xbroadcaster1991 Well chemical molecule bonded together and made cells and then it went on from there. And the bible says that? I really don't know but my understanding was that the bible said that man was just created by god. Seems to me if it says that all creatures began in water that the bible was supporting evolution.
