Er, not to be insensitive, but spike remains small for a reason.  Dragons don't become adolescents until they're at least 100, and Twi was say, 6 or 7 when she got him, so that means he is like 10, and so I doubt twilight will live long enough to even see him be as big as her. So this video, while inaccurate, is still very touching, very well done.

I've heard 2 takes on the deal with Spike and Twilight. One is that Twilight raised him, another is that Celestia raised him most of the way and then somewhere along the way Spike started living with Twilight. Does anybody know which one is actually canon? I'm interested because If Celestia was the actual ''mother-figure'' for Spike then Spilight shipping is not very far-fetched in my mind. They're not blood-related in any case, and It's one of my favorite shippings :3

@SirJust There's no Canon information at this point. But the idea that Spike was raised by Celestia was put forward by Lauren Faust herself, making it (in my opinion) much closer to canon.

On the other hand in the Few scenes Spike and Tia have had together they haven't acted much like a mother and son. Still, speaking as a younger brother I would say that Twilight acts much more like an older sister than a mother.

I favour the Celestia theory, for now anyway.

PS I also like Spilight.
