These people don't deserve to be mistreated and we are the only ones who can make a change, instead of buying a new expensive top or expensive gadget use the money to donate to oxfam i know i'm hoping to do this.
I am proud to say I donated the rest of my christmas money to OXFAM. I am an unemployed 17 year old teenager. I really hope I can get a job so that I can continue to make a difference. I believe the biggest flaw in our world is that we see something that is wrong, but rather than do something about it, we use it to complain about the world. I don't want to do that.

If none of these people are engineers, I don't want to know (the only people worth the life they are given on the planet, the elite, who could actually run this planet proficiently if everyone else were to die).
We don't need a large population, only a handful of engineers to sustain ourselves (and indulge ourselves too!)
he is right you know. its because of all the people who dont contribute to the world that we have poverty. poverty only exists because those people dont have skills or knowledge to bring themselves out of poverty and therefore do not contribute. fair trade goods put more people out of work than benefit people. businesses that cant afford to operate paying people higher wages go out of business leading to loss of jobs and poverty. fair trade is bullshit.
A person was walking along a beach when they saw another person coming the other way bending to pick up starfish washed up by a storm the night before. The first asked the second 'Why are you bothering to throw them back into water? Do you think you are really making a difference? You can't save them all.'
The second person bent to pick up another starfish and replied: 'I can make a difference for this one' and threw it back into the water, and carried on...
Its a nice idea to think 1 day the world is going to be fair and every 1 will be equal. But the reality is that it aint ever goin to happen is it. Since currency began theres always been ritch and the poor and that aint ever goin to change. Take all these organisations for example there a buissness the guys at the top are ritch asking every day joe in the street to give them money. The world has to have problems its human nature simple as that we have to be at war it always has been that way
Whether of not you believe the world can be made actually equal, you can certainly see the work of Oxfam in making lives better. It's okay to choose to not support, and its excellent that you took the time to view and comment all the same :)
TRADE is based on money; and for those of you who lacks knowledge of how International Trade functions you will be easily deceived into thinking that Fair Trade is the solution for poverty. They know your weaknesses.
REMEMBER QUID PRO QUO is the law of how BUSINESS operates; OLIGARCHY is the perfect way to control TRADES; The media permits NGO &QUANGO to PROSELYTISE corporate psychopath doctrines... If You really want to help the poor, then TELL THE RICH TO REMOVE THE TRADE PROTECTION TARIFFS.
My mother just made her famous date candy and used Wholesome Sweetner, which is an organic sugar that has no pesticides, bleaching, ect. Let me tell you, this candy is the best she's made, and shes mad this candy every year since I've been alive. This sugar is Fair Trade approved. I fully support this movement!
It's a mix of tunes... I dont recognise all of them but there's a tune by Portishead from their "Dummy" album and one from DJ Shadow from his "Endtroducing" album. Both are legendary albums and its nice to see them given permission to Oxfam for use!! :)
Nice vid :) I've just finished my short 'The Good Shopper' about Fair trade and online campaigning. Check it out if you want to see the retail side to Fair Trade. Let's get more people buying...

It is difficult to know what is fair trade and what is not. I try to shop locally and support organizations like Oxfam that raise awareness.
It is difficult for a consumer to know how to properly affect positive change
