What??? Raiden didn't die in MGS4! He got a new robotic body that looked like his old self. And I don't give a damn what anybody says, Raiden was cool. He was just misinterpreted by many fans, something Hideo points out in a few interviews about MGS2.

Well, that Hind-D managed to destroy two F-16s. It was hard to believe that, after doing such a deed, it would be destroyed by a single man. As for Raiden, I don't think he's "g@y" like many people say, but I just don't like the idea of seeing Raiden as a replacement for Solid Snake.

They serve different roles. Hinds are not designed to engage in open air to air combat they are more suited for ground attack and supporting special forces/infantry on the ground. Although by 2005 I think that model was outdated but Liquid had an affinity for it.

The Harrier is more of a fast attack jet. In a direct battle it would likely savage a Hind due to a massive speed and range advantage.

Although either could take down a normal man on foot... but Snake isn't exactly normal.
