actually the reason people think bees shouldn't be able to fly is because an equation for figuring our lift on a surface(this formula is used for plane wings) was used on a bee and it shows that a bees wing does not create enough lift to get it off the ground......but this formula does not take into account the fact that bees flap their wings which would create enough lift to get it airbourne........don't forget, if the bee looks like it's flying then it probably is!

notice how the flapping of its wings changes when it wants to stay in the same position, and its doing this instantaneously! they probably don't need to think about the 1000s of wing--flapping adjustments it does just to fly around! We humans build multi million dollar aircrast that can do a fraction of what bees do (obviously a plane goes faster, but still)
