The Jim Carroll Band were so good.I got into these guys from the movie Tuff Turf where I first heard them.Another gem from these guys was It's Too Late.I always wondered how they took having Robert Downey Jr. be their drummer in the movie.

in my opinion this song was the first "gangsta" rap ever written. and the entire song was way ahead of hip hop or rap music. i was a young teen in '79 when i heard this song. i immediately took a liking to the song. amazingly i already knew that my life would be filled with such deaths (and it was). in those 31 years all my friends are dead in similar ways. real errie~
