  • dam good video but that mustang would os pank taht sentra if it was in a drag race.. mustangs good for darg racing but in turns/ taking sharp turns there not so good..

  • @likess yeah he would've, a track with turns isnt the stangs strongest point tho...lol

  • @likess While it's true that a majority of 5.0 Mustangs end up on the 1/4 mile... that's more a result of the mentality of many Mustang owners, rather than a lack of handling ability in the car. I have several foxbodies, one of which I'm prepping for next year's Big Bend Open Road Race. But even stock, the only real drawbacks are the factory wheels/tires, and the TINY brakes. Big brakes, & the right rolling stock will give you a very tight, predictable machine.

  • @Hour13GT I always wondered why the brakes were so small for those, now that you mention it

  • @blackngold20 ~ Well, the car was a product of it's times. Today, even the cheapest econo-cars have 4whl discs & ABS. This wasn't the case 20yrs ago. Ford lucked into a hell of a suspension design(even the '04 Mach1 rides on the basic chassis of the '78 Fairmont), and made great improvements in their smallblock. But keeping the sticker price down meant sending the Mustang out on econo-grade brakes. They're fine for normal driving, but try hauling a stock Fox down from 90+mph... Scary!

  • Wow, I drive an 05 spec v and instead drag racing my car i should consider auto crossing and road racing after that.

  • @jarekduhast yes sir, they have a great suspension setup. I think this person had some suspension modds but the spec v handles extremely well...I like them and unlike the honda setups they have enough torque to maintain their speeds out of turns

  • where was this held?

  • @dustertube Langley Speedway in Hampton, VA

  • That was... interesting. Cool idea, but I agree, wtf is with the Stang starting out behind the Nissan?

  • it didnt

  • @Hour13GT the stang is actually a faster car, so the car that has better time attack numbers than the other with give a little distance to the slower car to make it more fair. This track runs time attack laps before running 1-on-1's to see who's the fastest around the track

  • @blackngold20 Ok, ya, that would make sense. Lol, basically bracket racing in a circle.

  • Yep, this video is epic fail..

  • Wait... shouldn't the car on the inside line start behind the car on the outside instead of ahead?

  • Why is the Spec-V not only on the inside, but starting ahead? That makes no sense, the racer on the inside lane should start behind to make up for having the inside lane. That Spec-V basically had two headstarts.

  • that was coool, what kinda sentra was spec v ?

  • @UrineNation13 yes a spec v

  • Nice race. Gotta love the SE-R.

  • that was a cool race. never seen that b4.

  • That Mustang sounded sa-weet! And, Im not hatin when I say this (I owned a 5.0) but, I own an SE-R now. Nissan FTW =)
