I am so confused here! I had a 07 Mustang Gt and now an 07 Stage 3 Roush. The gt with no mods and on stock tires ran a consistent 13.2 all day long. I have yet to take my Roush to the track, and your tellin me it should run slower than my gt. WTF!

You obviously have not spent any time at the track. Are you aware what it takes to run published magazine times? Listen, the guy was a total n00b at the track. He would go through the water box and not spin out, left after green etc. We saw he was running 15's so my friend waved some others by at the staging lanes to match up with him at test and tune day.
heres some facts from car and driver dot com reviews the cobalt ss does 0 to 60 in 5.9 seconds and a quarter mile in 14.4 at 100 mph the mustang gt does 0 to 60 in 4.9 seconds and a quarter mile of 13.6 at 104 mph it achieves that without any boost a roush 427r mustang does 0 to 60 in 4.5 seconds and quarter mile in 12.8 at 113 mph results will vary with different drivers but you get the idea if you want reliability good looks decent speed and pick up chicks then get a mustang
What is the published times for a 8100lb Dodge ram? 19-20sec? The video response is me at the same track. Pairing up cars by magazines and data sites is plain retarded. No Mustang GT has been able to run 0-60 in under 5.3 sec till the 2011 5.0 w/412 hp came back..The balt turbo SS from 2008-2010 has done a best of 5.3 & slowest time 5.8 sec...the balt only a 6 spd stick..the GT was tested w/6 spd stick too. SS is easier to drive than GT. those 5.3 #s for the GT are pro drivers. Cobalt can nearly match #s w/a good driver compared to the numbers by the pros. The 09 cobalt turbo SS sedan did 0-60 in 5.2 sec, ran 1/4 in 13.6 @ 104 mph..

I drive in lots of traffic and a stick would just be a pain in the ass. But my next purchase is going to be a stick regardless. @mcbrown36 Yeah the auto does rob you of a little more power but I totally agree with the convenience factor. I have a 2007 GT that is an auto as well, I'm actually getting the M90 Roushcharger, 3.73's, and a dyno tune done as we speak. The auto is great to drive, especially after work when I'm tired and just want to get home, but I think my next mustang will be a manual. Even still though, I would think your car would be a little quicker, esp with the 4.10's and slicks..I'm no expert tho.
@xJTF2x with the Pulley and Tune I put down 401rwhp and 374rwtq. They said they didnt expect me to get much over 390 so they were surprised with 401. So the tires killed the power a tad. But me, I was expecting running faster than a 12.8. I mean 12.8 with a 1.795 60' and only trapped at 109 i think it was. But then again i am still running stock intake. PLUS they said they tuned it pretty lean.
@xJTF2x So around higher RPMs is Leans out even more needing more fuel, so to be a little safer they made it to where it changes gears at 5,800rpms instead of around 6,200 or 6,300. I think thats a big factor also in my
@mcbrown36 Do you think they could tune it with a little more fuel if you upgraded to a GT500 fuel pump or something like that? Because your stock pump is probably maxed out right? That would be my guess anyway. 401rwhp is pretty good for the auto, I would say get a bigger intake, fuel pump, and re-tune and you can probably get more, not to mention get your RPMs back up hopefully, because that's definitely holding you back. What do you think?
@xJTF2x Yes. That is the problem. They were recommending a Kenne Bell Boost a Pump ( puts more voltage to the stock fuel pump to be able to inject more fuel. ) And yes, thats actually my next purchase. The Boost a Pump, JLT Intake, and of course they'd be retuning it. They say the JLT on average gains is 18whp for a 427R. And when they retune it they'll be able to up the RPMs again. Cant wait to get it done :)

I've actually been looking at the VMP 500 kit for the M90, supposedly it works real well. Anywho, good luck with your car sounds like its going to be fun. I'm curious to see how it will do with the upgrades seeing as its an auto, don't run into them very often.

However a turbo in most turbo cars is only running at 50% of its efficiency from factory. The motor is even handling 50% of its efficiency... case in point. you can make 450whp out of a turbo cobalt without messing with internals. It makes about 248whp.

However, never really been a mustang guy, i dont hate them. But i couldnt see myself owning on. I test drove it, it felt nice. But then i realised i needed a truck to star hauling my bike to the track. So i found my SRT-10 Ram, has the same, or even more, kick the mustang or my 370z did.
@Snakes709 my mustang has a kenne bell supercharger on a stock motor. i am building a new motor right now that will be around 550 rwhp. i accidentaly clicked the thumbs down button by the way. i got a mustang cause my sister inlaw worked for ford in detroit at the time. not a huge ford guy but i got thr GT for 17,000 new so i couldnt pass it up. after having it for so long it grows on you , with the kenne bell its like a new car.
Mid 13's in an SS/TC are not unheard of by any stretch of the imagination, hell, a quick Google and YouTube search proves it. Also, the 2010 Roush 427R cracks low 13's/high 12's stock, not 11's unless it's a Stage 3, of which only 102 were made. Statistics trump bullshit every time.

They used to come with superchargers, but the more recent ones come with turbos, straight from the factory. Throw on a catless downpipe and a tune pushing 24 psi, and i'll show you a car that runs mid to low 13's all day.

I am so confused here! I had a 07 Mustang Gt and now an 07 Stage 3 Roush. The gt with no mods and on stock tires ran a consistent 13.2 all day long. I have yet to take my Roush to the track, and your tellin me it should run slower than my gt. WTF!

heres some facts from car and driver dot com reviews the cobalt ss does 0 to 60 in 5.9 seconds and a quarter mile in 14.4 at 100 mph the mustang gt does 0 to 60 in 4.9 seconds and a quarter mile of 13.6 at 104 mph it achieves that without any boost a roush 427r mustang does 0 to 60 in 4.5 seconds and quarter mile in 12.8 at 113 mph results will vary with different drivers but you get the idea if you want reliability good looks decent speed and pick up chicks then get a mustang

No Mustang GT has been able to run 0-60 in under 5.3 sec till the 2011 5.0 w/412 hp came back..The balt turbo SS from 2008-2010 has done a best of 5.3 & slowest time 5.8 sec...the balt only a 6 spd stick..the GT was tested w/6 spd stick too. SS is easier to drive than GT. those 5.3 #s for the GT are pro drivers. Cobalt can nearly match #s w/a good driver compared to the numbers by the pros. The 09 cobalt turbo SS sedan did 0-60 in 5.2 sec, ran 1/4 in 13.6 @ 104 mph..

@mcbrown36 Yeah the auto does rob you of a little more power but I totally agree with the convenience factor. I have a 2007 GT that is an auto as well, I'm actually getting the M90 Roushcharger, 3.73's, and a dyno tune done as we speak. The auto is great to drive, especially after work when I'm tired and just want to get home, but I think my next mustang will be a manual. Even still though, I would think your car would be a little quicker, esp with the 4.10's and slicks..I'm no expert tho.

@xJTF2x with the Pulley and Tune I put down 401rwhp and 374rwtq. They said they didnt expect me to get much over 390 so they were surprised with 401. So the tires killed the power a tad. But me, I was expecting running faster than a 12.8. I mean 12.8 with a 1.795 60' and only trapped at 109 i think it was. But then again i am still running stock intake. PLUS they said they tuned it pretty lean.

@mcbrown36 Do you think they could tune it with a little more fuel if you upgraded to a GT500 fuel pump or something like that? Because your stock pump is probably maxed out right? That would be my guess anyway. 401rwhp is pretty good for the auto, I would say get a bigger intake, fuel pump, and re-tune and you can probably get more, not to mention get your RPMs back up hopefully, because that's definitely holding you back. What do you think?

They were recommending a Kenne Bell Boost a Pump ( puts more voltage to the stock fuel pump to be able to inject more fuel. ) And yes, thats actually my next purchase. The Boost a Pump, JLT Intake, and of course they'd be retuning it. They say the JLT on average gains is 18whp for a 427R. And when they retune it they'll be able to up the RPMs again. Cant wait to get it done :)

However a turbo in most turbo cars is only running at 50% of its efficiency from factory. The motor is even handling 50% of its efficiency... case in point. you can make 450whp out of a turbo cobalt without messing with internals. It makes about 248whp.

They used to come with superchargers, but the more recent ones come with turbos, straight from the factory. Throw on a catless downpipe and a tune pushing 24 psi, and i'll show you a car that runs mid to low 13's all day.

@quickestwhiteboy your a retard. In one night with my 07 SS/SC with intake, 2.8" pulley and 60lb injectors i beat a 86 Mustang with radials, intake, exhaust and 75 shot, then beat a stock 08 GT then let my car cool down, jumoed back in and beat a mustang saleen pushing 480whp.

I have a 427r and that was gay. Learn to drive or don't race thats embarrassing. The new 5.0 has 412hp with a six speed looks sick. I just saw the 2011 gt500 and it has 550hp with a sticker price of $52,000 (coupe).

Look at all the Mustang fans using the driver excuse! No surprise there... Mustangs are short-wheelbase cars that are easy to drive. The real problem is that most people who buy Mustangs are people that can't drive in the first place - hence, thinking a Mustang is the greatest car ever made. I'd take a rear-drive corolla over any mustang, any day.

Face it...Rustangs are garbage that ALWAYS sound WAY faster than they actually are. I beat an 2000-something GT in my 94 cavalier Z24 a few weeks ago. From a stop, a roll and from 60. We both had stick shift. I could see how flustered he was just from the way he was driving. A CAVALIER IS BEATING ME!!!! My car is stock BTW. They sound the best and look good, but they're slow, just like the chodes that buy them.

I got a 427R, and I'd of smoked both of those guys! I have 3 mustangs, and 2 of em have 150k all I did was a break change, tires, and regular service. Call em what you want. one of the best selling cars,and my 427R smokes just about anything that's tried to take me including a few Vettes. Say what you want, but you'd be quiet in my passenger seat,
