I haven't done a comparison. But look at Sugizo's picking technique when he does really fast scalar runs, it's really efficient. hide couldn't pull that off, his right hand was a freaking mess.

He left X cause he didnt like the direction the band was heading. He felt that Yoshiki was too concerned about money, Jun was nevert about the money, he was all about the music. As you can tell his music is very soulful. and he was in bands that made excellent songs, some even better than X songs at the time. But in this world it's also about marketability and Yoshiki was very successful on that. A lot of musician arent into money and success therefore their work is unknown. Such as Jun

@title29 Yoshiki is an excelent composer, no one can deny that but that doesn't mean his later work would be better than some of his earlier work. Jun was excellent, so was Taiji. Losing those two was his mistake. X succeeded in dominating the asian market but failed in the North America rock scene. Taiji and perhaps Jun is essential for X to break into the North America market.

There was a demo tape called ENDLESS DREAM, but this was a recording from a live too. Not sure if it's a different version, but look into it. :)
