Actually, I've heard the drawn cards are based on when you hit the draw button, not the amount bet. Having said that, I have hit one royal flush in my life on VP. It was on a dollar machine, and since I normally play quarter machines I was only betting 2 credits, so I won $500 rather than $4,000. I'm a low stakes guy though, so $500 on one pull of anything is just fine by me!

@Sahtrump The computerization you can usually study and look for the "Draw" button to blink 2 or 3 times, then hit it, and sometimes that works into more winning hands. But also can get boring. ha ha

@snuffereet not betting the max costs you equity, it reduces the payout of the machine because hitting a royal flush is worthless when not betting the max
