  • I like pack racing a lot better then the 2 car deal

  • Jamie deserved that win, although I was amazed with JR's driving!

  • I have been a huge Jamie fan ever since the old NASCAR days of ole dw I love Jamie McMurray and will always back him win or loose .

  • I've been a fan of Jamie ever since I started watching NASCAR in 2008. I remember jumping out of my seat when jr was coming.

  • anyone else laugh at Jamies reaction at 2:21 ?

  • I can't stand the way the announcers CLEARLY favor and cheer for JR. I understand he's popular, but there is no professionalism where JR's concerned. Waltrip screaming " C'MON JUNIOR!" made me gag. GMAFB.

  • @73dodge i'm not really a huge fan of jr but he drove like his dad going form 10th to 1st in two laps thats really hard to do anywhere

  • DEI IS DEAD

  • i was proud how jr owned the field in 2 laps and even though he didnt win he tried when he went to the outside on turns 3 and 4 but jamie did great and blocked

  • Still feel the same thrill watching this as I did the first time I saw this!!!!!

  • JR looked like his dad on the last lap

  • just one more lap

  • 3:11 the put gordon in first

  • this is a peca of junk

  • Little Jamie Baby? Darrell? Seriously Darrell?

  • Jr. only hates it because all he does is whine, he needs to remove the stick from his ass before he falls out of the top 10 in points

  • @ 3:11 it shows unofficial results it says jeff gordon won but he wrecked

  • lets compare the daytona wins of the guy roush should've kept and they guy roush kept, mcmurray won the 500 by pack racing with one of the best in pack racing tracking him down, ragen won the 400 by getting pushed to the line, and to add to that it is ragens only win in the sprint cup series

  • last daytona 500 with pack racing :(

  • I remember staying up till past 3-4AM UK time here, having to listen to the race on headphones as my folks had long gone to bed, and I got chills seeing Jamie Mac win it. Ive never been a fan of his at all, but he's a great dude, underrated driver, and it was fantastic to see him snatch it, and it was an epic 500, after the monstrous delays, and to finish like this, was amazing.

  • lil' jamie baby!

  • I know people were angry about jr. not getting the win but that was one of the best moments of the year when jamie mcmurray won the DAYTONA 500.

  • I sure do miss pack racing at superspeedways.....this two car tandem crap is boring :/ dale sr is rolling in his grave as we speak

  • @nebulae87 Same here, even Dale Earnhardt Jr. hates it.

  • @nebulae87 so right : /

  • @nebulae87 Earnhardt are you kidding me Petty discovered drafting

  • @MegaJiol i never said Earnhardt discovered drafting......

  • @MegaJiol i thought junior johnson discovered drafting

  • @nebulae87 agree

  • @nebulae87 Agreed. The Truck race at Talladega a few months ago was pathetic. Maybe NASCAR should listen to their fans more again.

  • @nebulae87 I have to disagree with you on one thing. Sr. hated the pack racing. He was good at it don't get me wrong. But, he didn't like it.

  • Kenseth went from 20th to 8th on that final restart... woot :D

  • @YankeeStacker25 haha didn't notice XD

  • Im one of the biggest Jr fans but I wouldnt rather see him lose to anyone else!

  • Everybody lopes Jamie! :D

  • I know he won this race.. I am a huge Mac fan.. but teh guy is the worst luck driver in the history of NASCAR... this year has been tragic...and its only 12 races in *sigh*

  • jr. did awesome in this race right at the end, liked that im not even a jr. fan but that was a rly good shot at a win at the end, congrats to Jamie of course so many times he looked as if he lost the speed when he got pushed back up, awesome

  • I love darrell waltrip's commentaries. Junebug and little jamie baby lol. That's awesome

  • Did anybody see where Jr got hit on the backstretch and kept motoring. He may have had some down times, but I don't think we can question his ability to drive a race car.

  • If I owned a racing team and I had my choice of 4 guys I could pick, it would be Kevin Harvick, Jimmie Johnson, Tony Stewart and Jamie McMurray

  • roush didn't kick jamie he switched teams by his choice i believe

  • @burjkhalifa98 Roush had to get rid of Jamie because of NASCAR's new rule that was going to start after the 2009 season, which was a NASCAR team can only have up to 4 full-time cars/teams. Roush had 5 full-time drivers in the Cup Series, and when he had to get down to 4, Jamie McMurray and the 26 team were the ones to go (mainly because his contract was up at the time).

  • @SlicedSmoke14 i really thought they were gonna send david ragan away after that rule came out

  • @SlicedSmoke14 I would have kicked david ragean

  • @burjkhalifa98 i thought his contract was up

  • Him and his father are the sweetest people alive, I was so happy for Jamie :)

  • Look at the comparison of this race's ending to this year's race in the track. Bouncing all over the place to smooth as silk all over the track...

2 great Daytona 500s back to back...

  • I love the way Mike Joy called it. The 52nd Daytona 500 to Jamie McMurray!!! What a way to end it!!! Great job Mike!!

  • i looove watching nascar with my dad(:

  • eso..wooow

  • when he falls down at the very end thats actually him dying.

  • lol the awkward silence after DW said "he looked like DADDY comin' through there."

  • Most amazing thing in this video is JRs run and move on the back stretch

  • I remember watching this and thinking that Junior had a run on McMurray in the 3rd and 4th turn. He was close to getting it.

  • @9245012 Well maybe. But we will see this sunday :D

  • Dale Jr. disliked this.

  • I love NASCAR. I'm a Dale Jr. fan and even though he didn't win, I still love watching this video.

  • @GibbyFatBoy me too it was a great comeback and mcmurray is a great kid

  • @GibbyFatBoy, That's the most aggressive I've ever seen Dale Jr. drive there at the end. What a great race.

  • "Little Jamie Babyy!!"

  • bogate ale wojtek i tak jest dalej popierdolony a jego dziwka ciągnie jak star 400 !!

  • @MrJasonz28 the way you put it sounds like it's scripted haha

  • Wouldnt it be awesome if Dale Jr. or Michael Waltrip won the 500 10 years after earnhardts death?

  • @Oiihui they will

  • @Oiihui earnhardt jr is gonna win he won the pole its destiny for him to win

  • Couldn't have happened to a better guy.

  • 3 wins and your in the chase should be a rule...

  • i thought jr would win 4 his dads death

  • still makes me cry :)

  • Jamie McMurray has alaways been a good racer but never had luck.

  • I cannot fucking wait for the 500. is it february 20th yet??

  • pause at 3:10 it says 1. J Gordon 2. MacMurray

  • Clintchief2009 you better add one for 2011 its been 10 years since Dale Sr accident Jr finished second 2001 daytona 500 he finished 2nd last year I expect Dale Jr or a link to Dale Earnhardt like an RCR/DEI engine to win the Daytona 500 this year...but of course my pick is gonna be Junebug

  • I've noticed a pattern with the Daytona 500 since 2006:

    2006- Johnson

    2007: Harvick

    2008 Newman

    2009: Kenseth

    2010 McMurray

All are FIRST-TIME Daytona 500 winners.

I hope the trend continues in 2011, like Mark Martin finally breaking through.

  • after the 2010 season, everybody in my family that watched nascar at all was a jamie mac fan.

  • Has anyone naticed that since the 1998 Daytona 500, every 3 500's have had something to do with Dale sr. Look at the evidence.

1998 Dale sr wins the 500

2001 Michael Waltrip(Sr's team driver) wins. Dale sr dies

2004 Dale jr, his son, wins

2007 Kevin Harvick(Dale's old car changed to the 29) wins the 500

2010 Jaime McMurray(Earnhardt Gannasi Racing) wins the 500

2013 Someone from either EGR, RCR, or Dale jr.

    The #3 lives on forever

  • @clintcheif2009 thats actually quite an interesting pattern, nice catch.

  • @clintcheif2009: Agreed, who knows...

  • *speedy4569* that's when he made the pass and of course he got loose he was 3 inches between 2 cars and he still had to sweep in the middle in a matter of seconds and make the pass

  • ima tell all you guys somthing that i just noticed if you watch jr coming outta 2 he gets a little loose thats wat cost him the race or it could have helped him and he could of crashed in 3 and 4 so it coulda gone either way jr nation 4eva

  • damn, that still gives me shivers, jr was soooo clsoe! gooood job jamie.

  • I may be the only one to find it both interesting and awesome how NASCAR drivers speak with their cars, especially when they congratulate each other after a race with a tap...

  • its a shame jamie didnt make the chase

  • That even's things out between Roger Penske & Chip Ganassi on the NASCAR side. They've both won a Daytona 500: Roger in '08 with Newman & Chip in '10 with McMurray. The rivalry continues......

  • @Jamersonde But one thing Roger doesn't have is a Daytona 500, and the Indy 500 and 400 in one year.

  • Jamie Mac for Nascar 2011 the Game cover boy

  • @bigjmac0816 coming from a jeff gordon fan, AGREED!!

  • real winner here was paul menard. 22nd on the restart, to 13th at the end. good job!

  • That finish still gives me chills

  • It gives me chills to think of how much Jr. looked like his daddy driving through there

  • OH MY GOD!!! LOL

  • 1:43 How did Junior not cause a 20-car crash?

  • @talladegajunkie1439 Its Daytona, and when an Earnhardt races here, its beyond belief what they can accomplish, 10th to 2nd in 1 full speed lap.

  • If that bastard biffle doesn't tap Jr., Jr wins!

  • its great to see mcmurray win this, you cant help but pull for this guy

  • LITTLE JAMIE BABY!!!!

  • man roush must be kicking himself for keeping ragan and dumping jamie mac

    jamie- daytona and indy winner

david- has he had a top 10 finish at all this year?

  • @cookieboy17 Ragan has only 1 Top 10 finish this year (Talladega).

  • @SlicedSmoke14 Ragan is good at Plate tracks, his rookie year he led at dega, 2009 he won Nationwide race at Dega, and his one top 10 this year at dega, he is underranked there, but he terrible anywhere else

  • @SlicedSmoke14 ragan should have more but he has bad luck. ragan has potential

  • @cookieboy17 The reasib he kept Ragan is beacuse he has alot more coorporate sponsers, and he ahsn't been racing as long as Jamie. You usually give newer guys time t oblossum, Jamie has been racing 8 years, its about time he started doing well, he's no different than Ragan

  • @cookieboy17: Jamie Mac: 14th in the standings, 3 wins [Daytona 500, Brickyard 400, Charlotte fall], 3 2nd-place finishes [Talladega spring, Darlington, Coke 600], 3rd at Bristol night and Loudon fall, 5th at Chicago, 6th at the Glen, 8th at Bristol spring, 10th at Phoenix fall, poles at Fontana (both), Darlington, Chicago.

David Ragan: 24th in points, with only 3 top-10s (6th at Talladega spring, 8th at Texas fall, 10th at Charlotte fall), best start was 5th at Texas fall.

    Who's better? #1!!!

  • @cookieboy17 Not to mention the Coke 600 as well. Happy for Jamie, seems like a good guy.

  • @McCall72: Almost, he was 2nd in the 600 to Kurt Busch. But he won the 500 at Charlotte in October...

  • @cookieboy17 Some drivers just need a change in teams. Jamie wasn't doing well with Roush and then he switch and had success. Another example is Kyle Busch from Hendrick to Gibbs.

  • @cookieboy17 look at him now though

  • Jamie Mcmurray Is the Most Underrated driver in nascar!

    he deserved this!

  • Earnhardt 1-2

  • both of mcmurrays wins this season had him battling Harvick on the restart and Biffle in the mix

  • interesting that this was the front row on the final restart at Indy this year with the exact same result of who won...

  • 3:11 JEFF GORDON WINS HIS 4TH DAYTONA 500...according to FOX at least

  • NASCAR is doing better with not throwing a caution for these back of the pack crashes

  • COME ON JUNIOR COME ON!

  • Jamie McMurray "OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!" - That was too epic!

  • If Earnhardt had won... that would've been phenominal. But, I'm glad McMurray won.

  • dale earnhardt jr should have pullled a kevin harvick on jamie mcmurray like at talladega, slingshot past. you would be suprised how much you can fly past someone like that.

  • Junior's mad dash

  • billy bass? lmao

  • this made my day awesome job before the 09 talladega win he did not know his future but with his new team and wins the 500 also 3 second place finishes great job

  • it was nice to see jr racing good at daytona again

  • i think that the best racetrack to host the last race of the season is daytona, just think about it, the first and last races of the season at the most historic track of them all, plus because of the unpredictable nature of restrictor plate racing anyone within 150 points of the lead wold be in serious contention for the championship

  • @mascabrown i agree.

  • Jamie has the coolest looking car out there. I love jamie :)

  • Oh...

  • LOL look at 3:18......pause and look hard.

  • @shadowspeedyV1 Didn't notice that there until now.

  • @SlicedSmoke14

yeah i just saw the thing moved so i went back and saw gordon in 1st!?!?!?

  • @SlicedSmoke14 I don't get it. What is it supposed to be?

  • @MortifiedPenguin275 Look at the leaderboard. Jeff Gordon is shown in 1st for about a second.

  • @shadowspeedyV1 Nice catch there mate :)

  • @shadowspeedyV1

I saw that on the jumbo tron at the track. Im a 24 fan, i was like WAIT, WHAT!

  • @shadowspeedyV1 i dont see it

  • @horeyguy53149 You have to see it or pause it at the right time.

If you look closely, the leaderboard ticker shows Jeff Gordon in first for about a second.

  • @shadowspeedyV1 ha didn't notice that before

  • Never much cared for mcmurray but he sure seems like a new man with this team. Plus he's quickly found out one of those facts of life CHEVY >ford

  • "O My God" Jamie McMurray

  • I find it degrading on Jamie's part still to this day that DW called him "Little Jamie Baby." C'mon, he's a veteran who just won the Daytona 500. He's not some little baby...

  • I'm a huge Jamie fan... but..... after winning this... he has gone back to how he is every season... 20th in points!!! *sigh*

  • jamie is my favorite driver he is the best!!!!! lol listen to the crowd roar at 4:00 when he gets out of his car

  • @bigd2699 He's a younger version of Michael Waltrip. Only shows up on plate tracks.

But hey, at least he's won a non-restrictor plate race and he was second in Darlington...

  • go jaimie !!!!!!!!!!! in my top 5 fav drivers

  • this was awesome!!! jamie rules!!!

  • @BrickGrease isnt that the truth i wish he would drive like the intimidator a lot more

  • 2:22 OH MY GOD!!! lol ha

  • Jr. is looking good this year so far let's hope he could get to victory lane, I hope to see him win a lot more like any other Jr. fan.

  • 2:06 haha "Little Jaime baby"

  • Jr needs to drive more aggressive like this and he'll win more

  • i know man isnt that the truth

  • no, it was 17th to 1st in 6 laps

  • "junior looked like daddy coming through there" LOL

  • for everybody who thinks that jr is only famous for his dad should watch this vid and tell me he cant drive...............PS good job jamie u deserved it

  • @Gaijin55 i agree with everything you said

  • Jamic Mcmurray Rocks and i think there will be a flip at talladega this year GJ Jamic Mcmurray

  • Jr. Would have Won if there was 1 More lap I was still happy for Jamie

  • jr hit mcmurray at 2:08

  • Jamie Mac Baby! ausum!

  • i bet he wanted to say thanks jack roush for puting me in a chevy

  • I've probably watched this a dozen times since last week, and it still hasn't gotten old. Way to go, McMurray!!

  • This race proves one thing about Jamie McMurray..he joins Dale Jr and Gordon as one of the best restrictor plate drivers in NASCAR. I'm proud and so happy for Jamie!!

  • I THINK IF DALE JR WOULD HAVE MADE A MOVE A LIL EARLIER HE WOULD HAVE WON THE Race WAY TO GO JUNE BUG

  • I think if JR haden't past Biffle on the backstretch maybe Jamie wouldn't have won.

  • dale jr was really aggressive at 1:41! and I never thought mcmurray would win happy for him.

  • Jamie Mac: OOOOOH MY.....GOOOODD!!!

  • This is jr's year i think

  • thank you for uploading this i am a fan of jr and Jamie both and way to go Jamie and Dale Jr

  • DAMN he was aggressive for once lol

  • at least it wasnt a hendrick car and one of its drivers

and I am not an 88 fan.

I dont care to bash him but he is only popular because of his dad's tragedy.

not because of his driving skill or lack there of.

Anyone nelse notice how the plate race the 3 driver won from 14th place with about 8-10 laps to go keeps growing in legend. Last I had heard it was from 18th with 3 to go. LOL it just keeps getting better.

  • That's how Sr. would have drove it

    Good job Jr. and Jamie

  • first daytona 500 with no 8 car in.

  • Tony Stewart is the best! Junior is not that great. I don't get why everyone is in love with him

  • I used to like Rusty Wallace and Tony Stewart but ever since Rusty retired I have supported Jamie McMurray. I am really happy for him and I like his chances at knocking off Jimmie Johnson this year. Go Jamie!! Thanks for the post..!!!

  • The 500 is a crapshoot any one can win it, glad is was Jamie and ganasi with Felix.

  • Doesn't matter to me what folks THINK about Dale Junior....He's got more class than most of them out there....simply because he isn't afraid to BE HIMSELF....just like his Dad...He doesn't PRETEND and he doesn't "whine" if things don't go his way like a few of the others do....

CONGRATS TO JAMIE AND DALE JR!!!! YOU GUYS ROCK!!

  • @nathankrug

Agree, most of these faggots forgot what happened in february 2004.. or the Pepsi 400 that he won on Daytona just months ago after his father's death. He IS a good driver, just the fact that he is not winning like Jimmie Boring Johnson is, doesn't give you the right to say that kinda bullshit Bassaholics123. And Jr always says that does NOT want to be his father's shadow, he wants to be Dale Jr. so, you FAIL with your comment. It's not his fault, it's people and media fault.

  • dude,ur bragging about one win that was 6 years ago,and junior hasnt done anything his whole career,im just trying say that junior is overrated and u r trying to act like he is the best when he is not,u can say all u want but the stats show the truth about how junior isnt the best.and tell me this would everybody still love him if his last name wasnt earnhardt,so buddy ur comment was a FAIL!!

  • I'm bragging because he won the biggest nascar race, yes 6 years ago, but still, HE WON IT, there's a lot of great driivers that NEVER won that race.

  • @dakoide ya but nobody remembers that win haha

  • that's all you can say, that's all you can do, keep assuming.. there's someting called Junior Nation, and we are millions, and we all remember that win. we will forever.

Fail little kid.. you're so set to fail.

  • @dakoide fat little kid o there u go "assuming",no a real nation is gator nation people love them no matter what bcuz they are good, not bcuz of thir name, and think of it this way y isnt harvick as popular,y isnt mark martin as popular,y isnt jimmie johnson as popular they all have the more wins then him but yet nobody likes them, its bcuz there last name isnt earnhardt its not assuming its a fact and ur just to scared to face the facts
