im on netflix and i try to watch shows and when i click play it goes into a black screen and i need to install the silverlight plug in but how? it doesnt let me. so plz help me plz. =(
ok so i just joined netflix and i had to download silverlight on my vista...but it still doesnt let me watch movies...the install button is still there. if anyone can help me please message me. thanx :)
IMHO Silverlight have gotten a lot better then flash after version 3. All Flash players I have ever used always hang and force me to reload the page when I try to jump in the video. Sliverlight have never hanged when trying to jump in videos and loads faster as well. Overall Silverlight just feels more responsive and less buggy.
Programming for Silverlight is also a lot easier and I'm really liking it so far.
I tried Netflix but I didn't like their selections. But the player was really good. I was surprised. And if you have an old computer and it didn't work...time to upgrade your computer. The world isn't going to wait for you, Man! LOL.
I would guess you have an older computer or a slow internet connection, or both. Silverlight has been a great upgrade for me, but I have a new computer and a great internet connection.
Silverlight is a mandatory upgrade for watching videos on netflix. It adds a seek feature to the timeline with a sleek player. Also the video quality is better and load times are faster. Silverlight is the media player.
FUCK silverlight man, that's complete fucking bullshit. I'm getting the error 1001, screw the Netflix staff.

Silverlight is MUCH worse than the old player on my system. A lot of people are experiencing the same problem.

Agreed. The old Netflix didn't work at all on my laptop, and poorly on my PC. Now, it works beautifully.
