  • "Oi've nevar seen loitening loik thes" love that accent :) [From Southampton]

  • @teabagluigi That comment made me laugh out loud! I never realised what an accent i had until you hear yourself played back too you:) You think Devonshire is broad, you should hear the accent from Cornwall! Ha Ha! :)

  • I remember a brill lightning storm in Plymouth in 2005 were it was just lighting and no thunder but the cool thing was the lightning was every 3 seconds itvwas like war of the worlds loved it

  • I live near Heathrow Airport, and not long ago there was some thunder and a lightning flash, I love it all, just the heavy rain I dont like, it didn't go dark, it was like how that is in the vid, but it was just a spontanious minor storm, May 21st I think it was

  • @BassLoverDude It must be fantastic to see next to the airport! We love it all (as you can probably tell from our excited sounding voices LOL)!

  • @archiepops Lool, Yep, well its kinda annoying, coz there is a constant high pitch noise in the morning and evening when the planes are turning their engines off and shit like that xD

  • this year in Portsmouth, we only got one proper thunderstorm, strange coz it was March

  • @theYoda09 We had Thunder and Lightning this week, and it was snowing! :)

  • Cool vid

  • that is some LOUD thunder

  • Do any of you remember the electrical storm we had in Plymouth in the summer of '05? It raged all night and I have yet to see a more violent storm anywhere since that night.

Anyone have any footage of it?

  • Yes some of this footage is 2005. I remember it really well :o)

  • TYSVM for using my own 8/8/08-Tstorm video as a nice video response to your own gorgeous Tstorm video seen here and for places like Plymouth, UK where they get only some 15-20 Tstorm days per year...you got quite a good one on this video..nice bolts too. Love your voices..your companion too.

  • @LuvsTstormTapes Hi there! Thanks for your nice comment! We see that you guys like our accent :) The thing is because we all talk like this in this part of the world, we don't notice LOL :) What we really like about your videos is that you show the whole storm with a gradual build up and we feel almost like we are there! Keep these great storm videos coming! :)

  • Devon?

  • Devon and Cornwall :)

South West England really took a battering that day.

  • if you watch carefully the 1st lighting was a double bolt

  • woo i luv living here

one time a stormi think in 2007 caught a few houses alight by me

  • We don't get enough storms in this part of the world sadly. We do get them in the little doses once in a while, but ever so now and then we get a big one!

Hope to see a cracker soon!!!! :)

  • Dont get it that much in Plymouth, do we?

    Hate it at night, tbh!

    Keeps me up!

    LOL!

    :]

  • No sadly we don't get enough of it! We love it even better at night! : )

  • swilly!! lol

  • Did your grandad call his cat "Andy" lol. :o)

  • Hi there! No! His cat is called Candy! *LOL* :)

  • ha ha ha! Cool!

  • I enjoyed you sharing this thunder lightning storm. I grew up near Chicago Illinois in the USA that had many a good storm. I have missed them for many years. Southern California rarely has any good thunder and lightning and never has any great ones. I felt on the edge of my seat watching your video and love the accent. Keep the camera ready for another one I'll be waiting.

  • Thanks for nice comments, especially about our accents Ha Ha :) This storm was hanging around from about 6.00pm until about 1.30am.

It started at 6.00 and then lasted about an hour and then came back about 9.45 with a vengence! We see a storm like this about once in every 3 to 5 years. The longevity of this storm was pretty amazing. We have a new video camera now so we are watching the skies! :)

  • well what can say it looks like that ye had a grate thunderstorm footage caught on film i am a very big fan of thunderstroms i love them to bits i love watching the lighting and the sound of thunder

how long did it last for i saw a few cgs and lots of cloud to cloud lighting

  • Thanks for your comment, this is actually a compilation of some good storms from 2000 on really, the first was awesome last a few hours! We're massive fans of thunderstorms too : )

  • That is some fantastic footage of that severe thunderstorm - I adore it!! I particularly like the torrential rain at the 6.01 mark; and also the severity of the storm: I wish we had storms more like this more commonly - Devon just refuses to accept one so lets hope it does soon.

  • Hi Lightning741! Thanks for you comments!

We just don't get to see these severe storms in Devon very often, but when we do they are sooooooooo worth it!

Summer is not over yet! We may get a big one yet! :)

  • Very true: And thunderstorms can occur in Autumn; in fact, that's the time they occur the most so we can wait :D

  • thanks for replying back to me

  • Wow! awesome video!.I`ve tried to record thunderstorms myself but they`re only titchy ones!.When abouts this year was this video recorded?

  • Hi there! Thanks for your comment!

This video was recorded in 2001 and the last 3 mins was recorded in 2005! A storm that severe comes around now and again! We had agood one in 2006 but we sadly did'nt get it on video! Hope we have a cracker this year! :)

  • Thanks mate

  • that is some evil sounding thunder, now why cant i get a storm like that in guildford, i can track it now though useing my ld250 lightning detector, witch way its moving.

  • I saw that, and will do!

  • Awesome footage of the lightning!!! I live in Plymouth also but I wish we had more storms as they are rare sadly but when they do come they are stunning! I have also recorded storms but qualitys not as good as yours, great video! 5 stars!!!

  • Thanks for your comments! I agree sadly we don't get enough storms! : )

  • we were suppost to get thunder today but now it's minimal unfortunatly

  • We had a bit of lightning last night!

Did,nt amount to much! Keep our fingers crossed for a big one! :)

  • It was a very intense storm!

Thank you for your nice comments! :)

  • oops, ps: just read your intro to this one properly and noticed YOU noticed the streamers too, my fault for not reading!

  • That was fantastic :D I noticed one and possibly two upward travelling streamers there that, had they connected with the downwards stream, would have blown you backwards and possibly worse, they were that close. And the thunder sounded terrific :) 5 stars for that one The night-time shots were beautiful too.
