guitar hero = hours of practice to get to a professional level
real guitar = years of practice to get to a professional level
Assuming you're serious, you will get somewhat of a head start over total beginners, but guitar hero also teaches some poor physical technique. You will have to spend some time unlearning bad habits.
In short, the technical aspect of playing guitar is very different from a guitar hero controller.
I have spent 5 years practising guitar hero on the ps3 and im pretty good...is playing the real guitar similar? can i swap and play the real thing easier than someone who had not played guitar hero?
@lumpfish99 you could probably learn a bit faster than someone who hasn't played guitar hero as much as you, but it is much different. playing guitar hero is like playing a guitar that only has one string and five frets, a real guitar has 6 strings and 22-24 frets.
the effing ADS youutoobe has placed are really obnoxious, and having to see a Scott Brown (R - MA) ad is especially offensive. I'm from Boston and I hate him. He's not as bad as some Republicans, but the fact that he was able to charm his way to the seat held by Ted Kennedy is an insult to any Democrat anywhere IMO.
What about the tabs sir? I checked your website and I can't find them :( I really want to learn those licks and you playing in slow motion won't help so much.
Are the tabs to the country licks available anywhere? I love how economicaly you play. Very little wasted movement. That's happens when you learn the correct way.
Can some1 give me some tabs of these songs in guitarpro, .txt or tell me the song names? I tried to take a look on the website in description but there is not tabs :)
I don't know if the uploader's gonna give you tabs or somethin else but i just download the video to vlc or something and then hit slower button so it's like slow motion
hey bro do think you could do me a favor and slow it all down and explain how you play each lick? this is some serious kinda good and i would love to know how to play each of these licks!
Awesome vid!! Also.... after linking to the guitarmasterclass site, I'm diggin' on the video player. Built nicely for guitarists. You inspired me to give the site a try for a month.
Argh!! Payment screen FAILED, after taking in all of my CC info. Had to cancel my card with my bank immediately to avoid any "accidental" charges. Sorry dude, your lesson ROCKED....but I can't go with the guitarmasterclass service. Too risky. The payment screen did look cheap, and rather "fishy".... and now I get to go all week with no debit card. If you had your own lesson site, I'd be down.
Great lesson man. I've been trying to pick this style up for a while and these licks are great. I was wondering if you had the other four slowed down with all the angles, etc...and possibly some tab? thanks again. Great playing!
AWesome Playing awesome lessons awesome Tone and that Tele MIM Sound really nice I have see STrats and TELE made in mexico and unlike USa ones the mexico ones sound better!! HEY BRO WHAT AMP DO YOU USE???
i am 15 and im wantin to learn how to chicken pick like that.do you have any tips that could help? i cant really figure much out.your lick is the first i hav learnt.
@huntershane96 Just start with simple things. Take a pentatonic scale and alternate with pick / middle finger. Do the same with ring finger. Over two / three adjacent strings... Practice slowly...
@daveparnell73 To get the TABS, you need to sign up to guitarmasterclass (.net) You'll find TABS, guitar pro files, the backing track & a cool community!
I guess since this guitar playing is so natural for y'all, all you comment on is the rig!.. thanks to this vid, I got some some practicing to do..... good stuff!
I really likie this! Are you using 10s on the bass side and 9s on the treble end? Your petal steel bends sound real nice. It doesn't seem like they would appear so effortless if you were using heavier than 9s. Please post some more country licks.
