  • Hey man thanks for your awesome videos. I've got a question though, and if someone else sees this and knows about this please reply.

After i installed Magic Lantern (which was smooth and awesome) i went to the film-mode. BUT, when i'm in the film mode and when its on i hear some strange noises coming from inside the camera. Sounds like when you frying something.

Is this supposed to happen or am i in trouble? Appreciate your answer!

    Best Regards.

  • @Delinz I have never heard of this happening but if every thing is working fine you should be all right is there any way you could record the noise so I could hear it

  • @MediaUnlocked I will try to record it. If i put my ear right where the flash is, i can hear it very well. The sound is very like the sound of a harddrive working. And if i put my ear under the batterylid i can hear it too and thats when it sounds like something is being fried.

And as i said, that's only occuring when in film mode and active. In other words, when it "auto-sleeps" it disappears. Going to try recording it

  • @Delinz I believe it is jus the sound of your camera does not seem like some thing bad to me

  • @MediaUnlocked Also i doubt it being the battery since it's only occuring when in film mode. And it sounds worse near the flash

  • i got it to work! all i did was update the canon firmware and tried again with magic lantern lol :) thanks for everything!

  • @TheKangarooguru any time

  • if you install magic lantern, does your warranty still work? and can I turn the agc off with magic lantern on my t3i?

  • @MrDasjoerd It does not void warranty and agc gain is all ready off on your t3i

  • @MediaUnlocked well, it should be nice if it was allready off, but it isn't. when i plug my rode videomic into my t3i i get all that noise on the background.

  • @MrDasjoerd It should not be that bad have you check your battery in the mic may be you might need a new battery

  • @MediaUnlocked hmm.. i will check. you have a t3i right? also a rode? maybe you can make a video or semthing?

  • @MrDasjoerd I have both yes

  • @MediaUnlocked so you don't have a lot of noise on the background?

  • @MrDasjoerd I do have some if you hear my newest video but ML is working on fixing that so I believe

  • Awesome man! Thank god you make these videos! One quick question though, why is there a big ol' red circle with a line through it when I'm in movie mode?

  • @iCaptureArt could you send a picture of it to my email mediaunlocked101@gmail.com

  • What if you're not updating? I've never loaded anything into my camera so I don't have any previous versions of Magic Lantern installed. What do I do? Is it the same?? Please help!! Thanks! :)

  • @LBenderProductions Look up this title Oct 21 Build How To Install Magic Lantern On Canon T2I,T3I,60d,50d It will sow you how to install for first time

  • The best thing I benefited from Magic Lantern is how it made it possible for me to set the iso on 160, 320, 640, 12800 etc.

  • Is it really worth to install magic lantern on my 600d even if I mostly take pictures (i'm not into video)? Will Canon software still work with my camera?

  • @Sepulcr0 I would install it ML is amazing but you do not need it as much if you take mostly pictures

  • does this version have Q scale?

  • @SevinTV Yes it should be at the top of one of your options

  • great tutorial!

  • @jonkpunk Thanks

  • i'm gonna put magic lanter on my 550d. u're tutorials are great can u link me where to download the version of magic lantern u use in this tutorial??????

  • @ValerioVPerini If you look in my description you will see a link

  • @MediaUnlocked Thank u!

  • @MediaUnlocked Hi, I just wanna say your videos are really useful and thanks :)

My question is, is the default Canon GUI available if you have ML installed? And can you change things like ISO with the normal canon software when ML is installed?

I bought the 600D today and its coming on Tuesday

    Thanks again :) peace

  • @PRiiZMx If the camera is connected to your computer with canon software on it you can control iso, apature and shutter just go to the live view with in the software

  • I have question, your video recording limit depends on size of memory card right? i know for 8 gb its 12 mins but does it work for 32gb and more record time

  • @princeshahfriend yes 32 gig does around an hour I believe but the hour is broken up in to 12min max recording at a time

  • sometimes it stops recording for me after couple of seconds i have class 10 32 gb card and still can't get that damn lantern to install btw

  • your video introductions are WAY too long. just saying!

  • @mike52206 any time

  • My Sandisk Extreme 30mbps stops at CBR 1.5. Did u manage to push it to its limit and did u notice any improvement in image quality.

  • I have a class 10 card and have had the video stopping problem, but not always.

  • @richpadg what brand is it

  • @richpadg PNY should not give you problems when does the card usually stop to have problems after long usage and it is a class 10 right

  • @MediaUnlocked It's only done it twice and both times it was when I first started recording. I would then start again and it would be fine. And yes, it is a class 10.

  • @richpadg Oh ok that will happen time from time but as long as it is not happening all the time

  • Amazing Work Keep the videos coming ! :D

  • @TheMcMichael15 thanks
