in the end, when the team arrives at the airport his mother (after watching tv, she is a maid at someone's house, the son knows that it is his mother but can't bring him to tell her that he is her son) his mom know that the guy is her son. The guy sees his mom and he tells the reporter that he came to korea to see his mom and tell her that he hates her for leaving him, but that its okay and he understands now. He tells her that he will buy a condo and make lots of money and tells her to

*continued* he tells her to wait for him (but he says that to the reporter) after he is about to leave back to his hometown with rest of the team, another member of his team brings a box saying that a random lady told him to give it to him. turns out its his photo album when he was young and sugar sprinkled tomatoes.
