  • WHOA! When the soprano sings the descant to "I Don't Know," it's deliciously out of control. Really effective.

  • Was this done through the music or theatre department??

  • ya better count better than that buddy before you graduate....

  • The descant at 1:50 is singing notes that I do not recognize from my recording of the original cast (Alan Titus etc.).

Don't we all wish camera work for amateur productions were better?:)

  • @ysered1 She seems to have trouble with the harmony line, so jumped up to the octave.

    S

  • @ysered1 the same notes were sung in the Royal Festival Hall last saturday/sunday. but much less squeakily. it was scary.

  • @ysered1 That was more or less what was written, except for the last bit, which, if it were done by a high male voice, would have ended up in the same octave she ended up in the end. If she went that high in the last bit, then it would have been a whistle note.

  • I've been trying to get theatre companies to do this Mass for about 20 years I LOVE IT Damn this music ROCKS my world. I know if more people knew about it they would agree!

  • ah! this is one of my favorite pieces of Bernstein's. It's such a shame not more people know of it. Excellent performance. Singers are brilliant.. Like for real. lol.
