Also in the story of adam and eve in the bible it is eve who eats the apple that is not suppose to be eaten, and after doing so she then gives an apple to adam. So either way he is not necessarily saying woman are evil but the root of all evil according to the story.

I would also like to point out that you are very much correct in the parabolic analysis of the story of Adam and Eve. However, to say that the Bible is parabolic and not literal is hypocritical. You see, for something to be a parable, the story must have some literal characteristics.

The Bible, as I see it is a combination of three things

Literal history

Parabolic history, and

Metaphoric moral teachings.

And all proto genesis theories are just that
