  • My mom was really into this game. One time she played it really late at night and actually finished the last level. :|

  • AMIGA FUCKIN RULES PERIOD.... I like Halo, Gears Of War etc but the Amiga, damn, every game was fun, every game had awesome music, you could play over and over again. To me it feels like games have gone backwards. I feel sorry for the future of kids growing up who have missed out on the Amiga times. I still play the Amiga today and even still can't put it down.....

  • @ZroDfects . Even around those days everyone was hittin the arcades and Amiga ported most of them which was awesome. Super Hang On, Outrun, Chase HQ, Double Dragon, TMNT, Rastan, Vandetta, Shinobi, Shadow Warriors, The Ninja Warriors, Hard Drivin and a million more.

The best were already made, they don't port arcade games much on next Gen Consoles etc. The arcade version of Midnight Club is miles better than the Console versions. Fuck even Arcade Mario Kart was Better than Wii. Go Amiga.

  • the logo of the side very much is disturbing apart from that ok

  • Man, I remember seeing this on ST at the computer club when I was like 15. Blew me away, and the Amiga version only improved on it.

Classic times. Glad I was a part of it.

  • that Electric Dreams Software logo looks suspiciously similar to the logo for Captain EO.

  • -1 for the text midscreen, +1 for the movie itself.

  • Amiga was awesome.

  • That gam still is freaking hard, i fail on expert normally at stage 16 :(

  • this game had a great soundtrack.

could you just upload the soundtrack?

i promise i ll complete the fantasy general soundtrack, too.

btw.: if you havnt heard it so far, check it out on my channel.

  • good times!

  • That's really an pointless thing to say

    Amiga made in 85

    X68k made in 87

How about comparing the Amiga 4000 and the x68k ? fair he ?

  • The 68k from Sharp has no 3D racer with sega style sprite scaling to equal let alone better lotus turbo challenge 2 on the Amiga...that is FACT. Look at Chase HQ on the x68000 if you don't believe me. For gay mario style 2D platformers yes it was better in some ways but most arcade conversions were badly programmed on the Amiga with things like Lionheart or Kid Chaos showing what the machine could do in the right hands

  • X6k was machine with great power but price was like in real arcade cabinet!! Amig was cheap and easy to get

  • bellisimo :), Quelli erano bei tempi...

  • This game was my first A500 Game ever played, it totally rocks :)

  • This was one of my favourite games on Amiga, it was the best arcade conversion to home computer look how poor outrun, final fight etc. The reason being US GOLD, they never published this Electric Dreams made this ! Excellent Sound. pLAYABILITY, and Graphics 9/10 !! Pissed over the megadrive version !

  • Maybe in the us, but in japan the sharp x68000 was far superior.

  • That's right the X68K version pisses all over this.

  • are you kidding? this thing is making my ears hurt. And the music is pretty much exact to the arcade as it can get. The music in this particular version here is inaccurate, simplified and like most of its kind, horribly generic in instrument selection. The only problem(s) with gen/md version was the fact they could only use samples for one thing and the low framrate provided by sega's wonderful(?) hardware. Blast processing my ass.

  • Hehe ;) That nitro sounds was sooooooo addictive.... just kept going oooon and ooon :P

  • This was probably the Amiga game I played the most (arcade game, anyway).

I THINK I had the highscore for the beginner level, at 26,750,000...which was 2 mill more than in any of the magazine highscore lists.

Insane speed when you hit the nitro...oh yeaaaaaah....

  • I used to play this game a lot long time ago. I miss these old arcade games.

  • this was a great racing game. I used to play this with amiga's mouse, right click for afterburner! :)

  • congratulation!!! uaU.................!!!

  • woooowoooooo

i have this game on amiga!!!

  • oh my dear...memories comes up.:-) i played into past hours and hours :-) thx for the video :-)

  • Nice playing!

  • lol

I remember I used to think this game was so fast when I was a kid

  • Pretty good motorcycle sound for a game of its time with this version of the game. Best and most accurate motorcycle sounds than the arcade or Genesis versions.

  • chlip ;-)

  • it is very beautiful video

  • i love it, one of my first video game experiences. When I hear this music and this sound of the motorcycle when it gehts that fast... wow i feel like 15 years ago ;D

  • After the incredibly crappy port of Outrun, this was a welcome surprise. I did get annoyed at the way the other bikes would always try to rm into you. It was like your bike was a magnet and as soon as you started to pass another bike they would start heading toward you.

  • I remember playing this, I had all the motercycles if this is the one I played =)

  • nah wrong game this had one cycle if i remeber correctly :P

  • There is a similar version of this for the Atari ST520 computer that is about as good as this version. But do avoid the Sinclair Spectrum and Amstrad CPC versions of this, please.

  • Sounds like they didn't directly port the music, but instead tried to redo it. I wish whoever did it spent a little more time on it because people like me pick up immediately on the differences.

  • yo jugava a este,al stunt car Racer,al F1 graND PRIX,PAPERBOY II,sKIDZ,Test Drive 2 The duel,al VIZ,Jump´s Dragon Ball,Start cup,No second Prize,al bADLANDS pete,miNDnight ResistANCE,Shinobi,wins Of fury,F29 Retaliator,prince of persia,gullkorn express,maniac mansion,monkey island,street fighter 2,akel del pollito,pinball millon,lemmings,sensible soccer,Goal ESP,another world,out run,Golden AXE,el CHUCK,winter olympidades,ETC,ETC

  • this was just a port from the st i had it on my st thought it was a fantstic game used the mouse to steer

  • that was my FIRST game....1987......

  • that writing is way too big destroys the videos

  • it was one off my favorite game..I like it.

  • had this same game on my genesis & i have to say, the genesis version was way better in terms of sound & graphics which is pretty much everything you want in a game (save gameplay).

kudos for posting it up though. thumbs up.

  • U had this game 4 genesis?

and U want to say the amiga sound sucks?? Idiot!

on genesis the motorcycle sounds like chubaka if u slow down and at amiga its just pure feeling for more and more speed!

    COMPARE

btw still 1 of the best retrogames!!

  • Considering the Amiga's pretty good sound hardware, this is prolly the worst remake of the music I've ever heard. Thanks for posting.
