Hey Serena! That is true.. Female to male transmition is much harder to pass on. Male to female is more common because, the lining of the vagina is a mucous membrane and with unprotected sex, it is easier for the virus to pass through. I have always asked myself if I'd ever date someone with hiv, being that I am positive as well. I joke and say "That just be too much Aids!" lol but I'd probably consider it.. Its not something you look for in a partner, but if it happend.. why not? ; )
Hey lovely.. Well heres the deal.. I agree, being intimate is a huge part of a relationship. I am 27 years old and hiv positive since birth. It is possible to have healthy, sexual, and intimate relationships when you are hiv positive. I have had many boyfriends, as well as lovers.. who ive let know before sex is in the mix. All it is. is being a bit more careful. It is much harder to catch than they want you to think.
@CanYouHandleMyTruth3 well god bless u baby!!!! but jus a question because a lot of the times ppl dont kno all the facts ...but i was told that its way harder to get hiv from a female to male....than from a male to female...????
but can people be fully happy in a relationship with not sex at all. Sex is a big part of a relationship and committed relationship and choosing to give that up is giving up an important aspect of being man and woman as one. i would like to say that sex should fully matter, but you know the saying ..".if you don't get it at home your gonna go somewhere else". and that's complete disrespect to the relationship.
