I think it was on Entertainment Tonight just after he's died. They actually did air this pilot once, as a mid-season filler type thing. I recognized the kid from Max Headroom and then (I'm still kicking myself for this) I changed the channel.
This looks so shitty. But I'd still love to see it.

I remember seeing a clip of the head smacking scene. Graham asks a question and Jake says nothing.
Graham: It's alright to speak when spoken to.
Jake: Oh, all right.
[Graham smacks him upside the head]

Argh! And no-one knew what it was so no-one set the VCR...
I wasn't quite sure if it ever aired at all. I wrote letters to CBS about this, but they didn't even care to respond, the b----rds.
