Get off your high horse. You're not fooling anybody. Native Americans took the land from others before them. Native Americans were killing each other like Europeans were killing each other. Tribes massacred and stole from each other. The religions of many Native Americans were not noble as they are falsely portrayed in many movies.

Civilizations like the Mayan and Aztec were so gruesome that they needed to be destroyed. Human sacrifice and cannibalism were not uncommon among Native Americans.

@ffmdragonmaria You forget one thing, most Anglo Settlers came to the Western Hemisphere with the "excuse" of Manifest Destiny. None of them actually, truly, portrayed what the Bible teaches. You are right about the Commandments but when people have greed in their hearts they will use any excuse to get what they want, it is not limited to Christians, but to all faiths, all races, and all groups.

Strange film.Very slow, it's almost more like some sort of art movie than a Western. At the end it even did a little outline of what we had just seen. This film isn't very good really and we all could have watched something a lot better, let's face it

One of the worst western movies I've ever watched. At the end when Sam Glass after fighting off Yellow Shirt, and surviving the desert gets killed by a soldier is true justice. Chauk one up for the Indians.

On "living with nature." The Natives had lived here for >12K years & the continents were PRESTINE --- old growth forest stretching from the Pacific to the Atlantic; w/ 60M bison & 100s of thousands of wolves & THOUSANDS of other large & small animals --- when the first Whites set foot here! By the early 1900s, a mere 400 YEARS LATER, bisons were down to 2,000 & the large majestic wolves virtually extincted in the USA. Who took better care of their land: Indians or Whites?

@sisco249 What does that have to do with the FACT that the God fearing, civilized Christians came over here, illegally, & forcibly took lands from the Natives, killed off most of them, & put the few thousand left in the most reservations? All cultures do horrible things to their own, but you hardly ever read blood thirsty Commanches crossing the Atlantic to terrorize Europeans, kill off their big native animals, kill off most Europeans, & put the rest in reservations, do you?

With their basically stone age or stagnating cultures they simply lacked the capacity to cross oceans. One wonders what would have happened, if they really did land in Spain, Britain or France. Do you imply that it was a state(s) with clear borders, laws that needed to be protected...? Of course Whites do also have a right to defend themselves a ius ad bellum (So do the Beringians btw.). Reservations for Beringians was certainly fairer then they did do to prior inhabitants and the megafauna.

Great movie but the Apaches weren't not as effective fighters as the movie tries to show, if the Apaches tried to take on the Cavalry in the way the movie shows they would get massacared.

Well no they weren't take the Commanches who were far better fighters than the Apaches. And nowhere near as naive as the Apaches, they knew it was a few more decades at most left before the Federal goverment wiped them out, so they allied with the Goverment.
