Nice song and music.. At first when i listened to this song without watching this video, i thought the instrument used sounds like those from a chinese orchestra.. Are these japanese instruments? 1 of the instrument looks like Gu Zhen to me too.

Yes, they was originated from China but was made into Japanese version long time ago. It's Koto which has 13 strings, but the one in this vid is another version of koto. Since it was renovated by Miyavi - a koto master in 1921.

They have lower pitch so it is usually called Bass Koto or Jushichi-gen ( 17 strings koto).
