  • typical sibling fight

  • GREAT CHASE scene

  • Meh, my Ford Pinto could destroy this.

  • The Cien must be built, same style, same engine, Cadillac NEEEDS this car

  • BUILD IT!!!!! BUILD THE CIEN!!!! PLEEEEEEAAAAASEEEE!

    We pray for this

  • its pretty interesting how they used the concept cars of the day for '2019' era stuff, but now all these cars are out and its only 2009

  • people are arguing why this isnt going into production. thats what concept cars are though. their designed so the public tells car companies what they like & dont like so they can use them on production cars & thats why most concept cars are never put into production & look over the top with big wheels & air intakes. the cien lead into sixteen then sixteen bits onto new cts/ctsv, cien bits into srx concept, sixteen bits into new v12 sedan concept to become caddy range topper, ect

  • There are two reasons this doesn't go into production. The Northstar engine this is based on is going out of production. The second reason is that the V12 gets awful fuel economy and thanks to Al Gore and his manbearpig, GM can't produce it because it would fuck over their CAFE numbers. If it ever came out, it would have a supercharged or turbocharged V8. But it's unlikely, as supercars are flagship models done during prosperous times. I would still give my left nut for this car.

  • same here hey, ferraris and lambos are nice, but now they're just for the name, roll in the city and people will be like "WOAH WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?!" and you just say "its a Cadillac Cien :D", this thing is a head turner for sure.

  • i think the reason why this is a head-turner is the sharp lines and angles. the reason for all the sharp lines on this car is that it was modeled after the F-22A Raptor fighter jet. it has sharp lines and flat planes to deflect radar to be the first stealth fighter. also on the intake slats on the side. they adjust to allow changing intake demands, just like on the fighter. all caddy's since this one were based off this concept, and that's why caddy's nowadays have sharp lines on them.

  • i know that, lol, look at the converj its like a cien sixteen hybrid, its such a shame GM never gives these cars a green light, id pick this over the merciulago for the wow factor, it just looks purely awsome.

  • Very true, but prestige brands like Lamborghini and Ferrari are not profitable. That's why they've always been owned by larger companies that are or were profitable. While it would give the company a flagship model, it would also devastate their pocketbook even more to make the Cien. This is why they made the far cheaper ZR1 and now the Camaro. Still something to make them look good, but far cheaper to produce, engineer, market, and finance.

You can either have the Cien or GM. Not both.

  • @mechmusician

Ferrari losses money because all they make is Ferrari's don't you think the rest of gm could pay for this one car?

  • Its not fuel efficient? it uses the same deplacement on demand technology that went in the sixteen which shuts down half the cylinders when not driving fast. meaning when you drive at normal speeds it'll have fuel economy ratings of say a V8 BMW M3 E92. i know half of 12 is 6 but even on 6 cylinders youll be looking at V8 mpg for a 7.5 litre v12, no other hypercar in the world does this

  • Very true, but even that being said, the Northstar architecture is getting tired. Still far more advanced than the LS-series, but it's relatively old for a DOHC 4-valve architecture. While the direct-injection, dual CVVT and DOD helps, high-revving large-displacement engines just do not do well in the economy department.

If you can afford this, you don't care about economy though. It gets about 14mpg. But GM can't make it because of Govt regulations. End of story.

  • They really should make it into production.

  • I know it's only supposed to be 2019 but it looks like the styling changed a lot faster than anticipated.

  • The cars today almost already look like the ones in the movie.

  • HOLY CIEN

  • Ya this car is so cool its going to be in one of the new Twisted Metals. i made a Fan Fic character for it and he liked it the car mostly.

  • This is from a movie .. I got the movie , just can't remember the name

  • its in the description. its called "The Island"

  • what did the Island use as a chassis for the custom cian body? it can't be the concept car.

  • idk i just googled in and stumbled into a forum and they argued that it was the one and only cien, but some are saying it is just a model over a chassis. i personally think it was just a cheap replica of the cien over a chassis

  • thats what i think to. they wouldn't use the real deal. the camaro on Transformers was a rebodied GTO.

  • @BROTheBrothers

it is likely based on the Y-body, which is the vette and the XLR, so might be on a base model vette that looks like a cien

  • I just HATE when car company wanna an awesome car just to show off, and then they don't wanna make it.

  • as if you would even shoot at it!! lol

  • lol Cadillac Cien commercial Starring Ewan McGregor and.... Ewan McGregor lol

  • I need to see that movie again. I got chills just watching the Cadillac in motion. Cadillac hit a Home Run with the Cein.

  • idiots.. thats the scene from The Island movie.

  • yea i said that in the description

  • o ya it is

  • No not at all that was for the mission

  • wy did it have a crippled transmission in GT4? Is that true in real life? :)

  • No GT4 doesn't display real car physics, no mater how fun it is XD

  • Impressive. What if that car did go into production? I know it is not, but impressive ad set up...

  • not bad
