My college sociology lecturer said that, right now, the US and the UK (where I live) could probably manage a Marxist society. I only know the basics of Marxism, but from what I've read about it, it doesn't seem too unappealing.

I'm not sure it's not a better strategy to just ignore Fox News and thus, invalidate them in a sense. I do think someone on the left should have attacked Fox News (Jon Stewart does a good job of that), but it wasn't really smart for the White House to get involved. It's not their job to critique the press.
Also, Fox News has been called out before. Ever see the documentary, Outfoxed? Maybe there needs to be a sequel.

I agree with almost everything he says here, but I slightly disagree with him about MSNBC. Yes, Joe is conservative, and yes their news is much straighter and unbiased than Fox, but not completely straight. It's impossible to have your news team be in a vacuum. Scarborough not withstanding, MSNBC does have a whole lot of biased liberals on the air, and even though the news is usually pretty straight, I have seen a liberal slant at times. Fox is 10 times worse, though.

Within five minutes of watching, I saw an article with an Obama supporter saying "Senator McCain has no ground to attack Obama on such and such." There was no counter argument. When I turn on FOX, which is probably the most common news network I watch, I don't remember ever seeing even one biased story. They always have people from both sides presenting their opinions.

Everyone knows that jobs are the last thing to recover in an economic recovery. In an economic downturn like this, where we saw unprecidented numbers of data, predicting today's unemployment levels months ago is a very daunting task. We all knew there was going to be a jobless recovery, and companies are probably going to continue layoffs during the return. However, for Fox News to harp on this either shows their intense biases, their ignorance of economic trends, or a little of both.

very true about the jobs and what makes melaugh is the fact that the republicans quickly forgot that this recession started under a republican president form the effects of republican deregulation, for 10 months in office i say obama is doing very well and this is coming from a person who was laid off. the reason jobs are not coming back is becasue they are going to other places cause the generation that we are educating now realises that the system is broken and completely unfair
