i think there should only be one of the film , since if you start making squeals that's when the film eventually flops , bladerunner has set the standard for cyberpunk films and should remain a single film

There is a REAL fan film project in the works being done now. Script for the 2 hour "pilot" was finished in January and will feature rather unknown actors (but not in the sci-fi world). Rumor also has it that two emmy award winning VFX artists are on board for the VFX for the show. No, I am not talking about the "Metro Tampa" fan film that was done a few years back, but a new project that's being done as professinoally as the budget can allow.

Well the trailer is most definitely fake. You usually don't put scenes from Star Wars movies in your own to make the trailer look good (there's two Coruscant scenes from Episode II in there). Honestly, I don't think there should be another Blade Runner. The story has been told and its been told well. If you're really itching for more blade runner I'd suggest checking out Total Recall 2070 on Veoh. It's a little cheesy but a decent watch.

I agree, sometimes movies like this are best left alone, the final cut has given us the ultimate version and thats that. The game released on the PC years ago did a nice story straight after the film but again lifted much of the original story to push its own. Its a nice thought dont get me wrong but id realy be in 2 minds as to what a sequal would do..

Well if the TRUTH be known. I am an avid Blade Runner fan, and there was to be a BLADE RUNNER 2 to be released, I have an article proving Ridley Scott was working on it years ago. No word on any decisions. And I have the "Blade Runner 2"-hardback book along with, would be a 3rd entittled "REPLICANT KNIGHTS" hard back also. Cheers

try considering the film and book seperatly, whenever you try and move substance from one medium to anouther there are always changes, look at the film as simply an adaptation, not a direct copy, if you want to.

Provocative and fun idea. I have not read that novel.

Blade Runner is a fine film, but I'd love to see just the acting scenes without so many pacing buffers. It has never been a perfect film but it has style.

No doubt some hollywood producer, devoid of talent or imagination, will try to make a shit sequel of Bladerunner sometime in the future. Creativity seems to take second place to dollars these days.

But BR didn't do well in theaters and I doubt a sequal will ever be made for that reason. What I'd really like to see is someone with directoral sensibility do Robert Heinlien's "Stranger in a Strange Land" all Heinlien movies have fallen short so far IMHO.

There should be another blade runner more faithful to the book. Perhaps even use the book title. Ridley Scott isn't as senstive to themes as philip k. dick is. One thing they're both pretty bad at is plot structure. Both the book and the movie are filled with holes.
