  • Most "paddlewheel" excursion boats usually are propellor driven instead of being true paddlewheelers.It's a shame because the technology is proven for the past couple hundred years.

  • This boat is technically not a sternwheeler. It does not have a paddle. The crowns are fake smoke stacks that are down due to the clearances of the bridges.The exhaust is @ the stern.

  • You are absolutely RIGHT. i am an engineer and my wife isn't. she calims i over complicate things so with her at my side I tried to simplify the description for the avedrage person. obviously you are not average. I will share this embarrassment with my wife!

  • No need to feel bad they built this to look like a classic river boat. I here that it is quite beautiful inside. Note the spray on the stern.Must have been great to live on the river for a while.
