so nothing (no substance) can exist on its own as interactions are required. it could then be asked that what are interactions, are they not reactions of one substance in relation to another? but if substances do not exist then only interactions by themselves exist, i.e interactions are themselves a substance. therefore, we are an interaction?? hmm, i cannot seem to undersytand how interactions can occur when there is nothing that can exist ( a substance) to interact. What are youre thoughts?
@adamrst I dont think trying to understand interaction and its relation to matter is trivial. I am trying to understand what interacts. In other words If I interact with the universe, what is "I" and what is the universe? Is it substance? It seems that this maybe the only concieveable theory to me so far. Maybe its a substance which is unimaginable to us.
I believe your perspective appeals to our innate wish to prove the spiritual. Although interesting, this can never be achieved. Faith cannot be reasoned to since the spiritual refers to a relation or meaning that exists beyond the observable.
Even if our physical bodies are locked together in some kind of material soup, it says nothing of our selves.
I must eat to live. This does not mean I am grain or beef. My self, my value, cannot be fully accounted for based on my physical being. :P
i really enjoyed the way you made analagous relationships between a particles place in the atom the atoms place in the cell, cells place in the organism and so on, very eye opening and philisophically deep. i noticed when you had a picture of a man showing when you were talking about shrodenger, that picture was a picture of Nicola Tesla, just thought id point that out, keep makin great vids dude
One thing that kinda always confused me was the theory of relativity at the speed of light. If you've read it then you know that two light particles heading toward each other will only see each other going the speed of light and time dialation and length contration accur. This would mean essentially that all light particles must would see the universe from different time zones, becuase light will reflect then traverel at different angles to all the others.
Well thought and well spoken, very penetrating insight into matters that highlight the convergence of the scientific and philosophical worldviews. At 8:00 is it the particles that sense? Perhaps it is the light, the photons that sense? They being that which interacts with matter to cause change through the absorption or release of energy. Photons cause the change, therefore perhaps a record or memory of both states remains with the photon. Consciousness in the light?

You're over simplifying... and thus trivialising.
I interact therefore I exist, substance is a manifested by-product.
