Suhr S3 / Mesa Boogie Lonestar Special

I have a MESA LS S, I love it.

have you tried a lonestar classic? i was looking at getting a lonestar.. to my ears the special sounds like it has a bit more gain on tap.. but im concerned that 30watts might not be loud enough for clubs without having to mic it up.. what do you reckon?

I got a very similar tone to this with my S3 and a Peavey Classic 30 combo, although in person I'm sure the Boogie would blow the Peavey away for both clean and dirty channels.

Sounds great! I've got an S3 as well, but it's got an SSV+ in the bridge instead of the SSH+. Amazing guitars they are... What brand of strings do you use? Mine came with Elixir Nanowebs and I'm not liking them so much...

thnx dude.. this one is the EXACT same, except for the color, and that it has a rosewood finger board.. there IS indeed a difference in tone, just from the finger board!
