@k4dr15h ...well he doesn't play the german bow and might has misconceptions about it... I don't think there is anything that would be possible with one and impossible with the other. I started on cello, yet I play german on the bass. It just feels better for me.
@k4dr15h It's all physics. He's right. have you tried playing german and french, alternating between the 2 for a month? there are some things that are REALLY hard to play with German bow, and some things that are REALLY hard to play with French bow.
Like Rabbath's Etudes for example.
There are also articulations that are impossible on German. The way I see it is German bow is easier for the generalized strokes, but for really nitpicky articulations you need to play French.

Musik is something that has got anything to do with German bow or french bow, just you play it... I do not agree what he says...
