Response to criticism: Virtually all the technology in this game is at least in development. Exoskeletons, adaptive camouflage, drones, all of this. However, almost none of this has been really utilized in other games. GRAW2 had some drones, but let's be honest, they weren't that great. MW2 had an auto-turret. Big deal. A mobile drone that follows you and has an auto-turret, plus shoulder-mounted grenade launcher? Frelling awesome people, learn to appreciate it.
@0194D cloacking is 1 thing. Shoulder mounted rocket launchers. And the fact that this Ghost Recon is ruining the series. Ghost Recon was always supposed to be set in the near future. With existing tech which they improved (like make portable computers work faster and look better which resulted in the Crosscom and Narcom). This is gonna be 1 wacky game. Lets see what the MP demo will be like with this stuff.
Well I personally like the game, I haven't been a fan of ghost recon until I saw this game. I'm new to the series so I don't know anything about the storylines really.

Ghost Recon was about an elite Squad in the near future with cutting edge weapons. And then theres the story. Is Ubisoft so lame they can't come up with a new story?
@EliteGhost001 Yes, you can give your opinion. However, nobody said cloaking didn't exist. It's currently in development. It's not 1990 anymore, this is 2010. Technology is farther ahead than some might think. The stuff right around the corner in the first games 5-10 years ago, is going to be different from the stuff today.
Side note: This level of cloaking won't get past thermal imaging(98% sure this will be a perk online).

This proces costs an enourmes amount of energy. Now I'd very much like to see this be applied to soldiers (not the enemies though) but it won't work cause it they are close to an object, the object will disapear aswell and they'll need to put a small nuclear reactor on your back... Its too much to be fun.

-GRAW 1 couldn't keep my interest past 10-20% through the game. A disappointment.
-GRAW 2 was better. Played through three times, but it still didn't totally excite me with amazing futuristic weapons not already in use.
This displays technology currently in development, and is VERY exciting. It appears they've trimmed out the rough edges, and it's looking like an awesome game.
Well it depends on what your playing it on. The PC version of both GRAWs was terrible. The PS2 isn't worth mentioning and the 360 and PS3 version were quite nice. Sure I'd like the gameplay in the new Ghost Recon but I'm disapointed about te tech we'll be able to use and the story because its an old story. GRAW did use weapons which were not in actual use and GRFS will use weapons that do no exist which is not what GR is about. More GR fans will agree with me just not the ones herexD
I'm a new entrant and I'm playing GRAW-Advanced warfighter and I'm stuck. Can anybody bail me out. I'm unable to clear out one heli in the dam stage. Please guide me. Anyway, I'm a little half and half here. I still enjoyed Ubisoft's recent games. GRAWs 1 and 2 were good, so was Vegas 2 and Conviction. But they also leave a lot to be desired. I miss Raven Shield.
Still, watered-down as they are as far as tactics goes, they're better than games like Call of Duty.
@dkuch45 But it's also more confrontational. In Splinter Cell, or at least before Conviction, your gun was a last resort or a quick 1-shot-to-the-head type thing. It wasn't built to just run around and shoot, you took out most people with your barehands, while this has all-out fire fights.

If it came down to Black Ops and this...this for sure. I'm a realism fan and have been since the beginning.. I'm hoping that they don't put recovering health (maybe a medkit). I hate it when I see games that feature the frag grenade and make it so weak like in Halo 3 and Modern Warfare 1&2 that it is pathetic! I had talked to so many military guys that are friends of mine, like this kid named Cody, and they love the GR series more because it goes more in line of their training.

Their not copying crysis/predator optical camouflage is being designed as we speak and the game is called future soldier looks amazing if you ask me. Wasn't to sure about the shooting the up close though. Thought a knife take down would have looked way better plus every time he does it there's a stupid noise. But long time till it comes out so bet its going to be awesome can't be worse than mw2 ! Now that was pure crap.
This game is so shitty. Looks like they ripped too many ideas and packed it on 1 game. Cloaking? Predator and Crysis? Exoskelton? Kinda like Crysis huh? remote control missle cannon on your suit? Predator anyone? Simply a rip off. Looks fun but won't be popular at all imo. I liked the old delta force games better in the old days but i wish they'd just do a remake but with a better engine. O well.
Ghost Recon: Future Soldier's Optic Camo is totally influenced from Splinter Cell's Spy vs Merc's optic suit for the spies. :D I can't wait to play the beta, and then the full game!

GRAW2... Well, you just need to play the first GR to understand it.
Splinter Cell... The last real SC was Chaos Theory (or Double Agent if we talk about version by Ubisoft Monreal). It used to be really hard game where you needed to clean after yourself, hack computers, lock pick doors etc. What do we have now? Shooting all the way. No hiding, no covering, only shooting.
@nuttex My first ghost recon was island Thunder, and my first rainbow 6 was black arrow. but if you look at all the games out there right now, these are still some of the leading games that still have a cover system. sure its not like the good old days but they need to go where the buyers are and thats right now in fast pace first person shooters. no one wants to think anymore. with this ghost recon if they do it right i can see alot of teamwork gameplay

Above info is 'what we know'. Based on history, the military is typically at least 5-10 years ahead in development of 'what we know'...
So it's truly impossible to tell if they have it or not.

@dkuch45 But it's also more confrontational. In Splinter Cell, or at least before Conviction, your gun was a last resort or a quick 1-shot-to-the-head type thing. It wasn't built to just run around and shoot, you took out most people with your barehands, while this has all-out fire fights.

I wish this was first person MULTIPLAYER and 3rd person campaign thumbs up if you agree most games should be like this, and to answer your question: no total invisibility like this is IMPOSSIBLE by todays terms but in coming decades it could become commonplace given the giant strides made already, it may be even sooner but in a less functional way that whats shown here lol

That asshole splattered blood on my Humvee. Great game, love how the Ai isnt glitchy like in graw2 they are very smooth. Also love the first person ability. Cant wait for this.

If it came down to Black Ops and this...this for sure. I'm a realism fan and have been since the beginning.. I'm hoping that they don't put recovering health (maybe a medkit). I hate it when I see games that feature the frag grenade and make it so weak like in Halo 3 and Modern Warfare 1&2 that it is pathetic! I had talked to so many military guys that are friends of mine, like this kid named Cody, and they love the GR series more because it goes more in line of their training.

seriously this was the best GRAW3 Future soldier i have seen in years good to have the game back its been awhile i play GRAW1 and GRAW2 and this game looks way better than MW2 and hopefully gamers out there can realize Ubisoft makes the best FPS and 3rd person and i cant wait for this shit man E3 is looking fucking awesome this year so much fucking games :p

@TheZombieJC I see that you don't realize how metamaterials work (cause these materials will give us invisibility in the future). They'll make light flow around object like water flows around stone in the stream, hence there should be no shadow.

Their not copying crysis/predator optical camouflage is being designed as we speak and the game is called future soldier looks amazing if you ask me. Wasn't to sure about the shooting the up close though. Thought a knife take down would have looked way better plus every time he does it there's a stupid noise. But long time till it comes out so bet its going to be awesome can't be worse than mw2 ! Now that was pure crap.

This game is so shitty. Looks like they ripped too many ideas and packed it on 1 game. Cloaking? Predator and Crysis? Exoskelton? Kinda like Crysis huh? remote control missle cannon on your suit? Predator anyone? Simply a rip off. Looks fun but won't be popular at all imo. I liked the old delta force games better in the old days but i wish they'd just do a remake but with a better engine. O well.

There is NO tactic in this gameplay...this isn't the old gameplay ( the old gameplay was awesome ) .

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier's Optic Camo is totally influenced from Splinter Cell's Spy vs Merc's optic suit for the spies. :D I can't wait to play the beta, and then the full game!

GRAW2... Well, you just need to play the first GR to understand it.
Splinter Cell... The last real SC was Chaos Theory (or Double Agent if we talk about version by Ubisoft Monreal). It used to be really hard game where you needed to clean after yourself, hack computers, lock pick doors etc. What do we have now? Shooting all the way. No hiding, no covering, only shooting.

@nuttex My first ghost recon was island Thunder, and my first rainbow 6 was black arrow. but if you look at all the games out there right now, these are still some of the leading games that still have a cover system. sure its not like the good old days but they need to go where the buyers are and thats right now in fast pace first person shooters. no one wants to think anymore. with this ghost recon if they do it right i can see alot of teamwork gameplay
