Will this pattern also work with cotton yarns? I live in TX, where it is perpetually hot, so I need something cooler like cotton to wear down here (especially during the spring and summer).
Thank you so much for posting this. I am a beginner and it went very smooth following ur lead. My hat turned out wonderful. Do u have the pattern or can you do a tutorial of the mesh and/or lightweight beanie? THANK YOU!!!!
pls i am not clear about what do u do with the yarn when u changing colors, I understand how u make the change I just don't know what to do with the previous yarn. Do I cut it or it stays attached. How i end it off ?pls advise
Yes, you cut it each time. Remember to leave a bit of a tail so that it won't unravel. If you can, crochet the tail into the next row, that helps it to stay better and be less messy on the inside of the hat.
I was watching the video and for round 7-11 you have 1dc in next 8 sts, 2 dc in next st. around)* join with ss, ch 2. In the instructions on the sidebar you have 1dc in next 8 sts, 2 hdc in next st. around)* join with ss, ch 2.
You can check the 2009 Crochet collection video for the link to where they are on sale. I'm not doing custom orders at this time but you may be able to find something you like over there.
hi i really need some advice.. im usin a hook number 9, and im in row 7 already and my tam is lookin way too small for where it should be.. am i usin a yarn thats way too thin? what exact type of yarn or size do u use for that specific one? if theres is such a thing.. please that would really help me out! thank u and ur tams look awesome!! Jah Bless
I used worsted weight yarn. The sport weight would be a bit too thin, but you can try it and double the stitch count in each round to make it bigger. For example, start off with 20 stitches in the starting ring to see if that fills it out more for you. You will follow the rest of the pattern as stated keeping in mind that the stitch count that I have listed will be off a bit.
