Many girls on SL have tried to convince me to use a "hotter" shape, taller, increasing some "strategic parts"... but I'm feeling well with my RL appearance. I don't wanna an avatar that is totally the inverse of what I am in RL, I don't wanna frustrate people, ;)...but sometimes I use my cute 5yrs old girl av =B

You don't need to pay anything -- at least not yet. There is a necessity to register your credit card to access some areas, and it's a bit of a pain (but not impossible) to make money without having to pay real money. And if you make enough SL money you can actually convert it to real money, too. But to go in, look around, and take part in most activities, it doesn't cost anything. At least not yet.

That is the most realistic avatar that I've ever seen! An excellent example of what you will look like in 'First Life' aka 'real life' after spending 4-5 hours a day playing Second Life.
