  • Cute!

  • What kind of gel did you use ?

  • I-don't-get-it

  • @xsquall23 I think you just add gel to it and come it through. . . I guess, lol

  • umm ii used conditioner instead and it works dah same way. gel damaqes ur hair...but thnx for dah "good" inspiration :/

  • ur hair is beautiful!

  • very nice

  • The ic gel is pretty good... it doesn't feel that crunchy my hair stil feels soft after I put it in unlike with most other gels.

  • Looks lovely! I, too, am looking for a product that doesn't make my hair feel/looking crunchy. Does IC feel/look crunchy when dried?

  • Looks great. Does all that gel make it feel crunchy? I worry about that....and how long did it take you to comb it all out into sections?

  • very nice

  • nice video...your hair texture is very similar to mine!

  • Great vid. Thanks for posting. I think I tried it with the wrong gel. I always look for the proud lady on my hair products. So IC fantasia wasn't made by a black owned company. I'm gonna try to find a good gel that was. But your hair looks really cute. :)

  • Your hair came out beautiful!! By the way what type of hair do your have? I think you may be the closest to being my hair twin for 80% of my hair textures. Your daughter is a real cutie pie.

    Peace & Blessings

  • Your hair looks fabulous!!

  • Thank you :-)

  • this doesn't work on 4b hair. :(

  • Have you tried a twist-out. If my understanding of 4b is correct, twist-outs would work great and hold its wave definition for a while.

  • very nice!!

  • Thanks :-)

  • I really like your hair, it looks nice, I think I am gonna try it today on my hair and see how it come out. wish me luck.

  • Did you try it? I hope it turned out great!

  • awesome!

  • Thanks :-)

  • very very cute. must try.

  • Thanks. Did you try it yet?

  • I tried it and liked it a lot and I have 4b hair. No it did not come out super curly like yours, but I still liked it.

  • your hair looks nice. can you use aloe vera gel for this style?

  • Not to sure about the aloe vera gel. I say give it a try and see how it turns out :-) I am a HUGE fan of IC Fantasia and ECO so I pretty much stick to either of those. They don't have alcohol so they don't appear to be damaging.

  • Very cute! Thanks for the video. What happened to your twist out video... I'm waiting. :)

  • Thanks for stopping by! I will try to do the twist out video "soon!" LOL

  • I love your vid, thanks for sharing. Hopefully by the spring my hair will be about this length and I can give it a try.

  • Your hair is very pretty. I love the IC Fantasia products. I have never used the gel before but I will definitely have to get some. I'm in the transition stage.

  • Is little miss twists named Leah? She looks like a girl that was in my Kindergarten class when I worked in Okinawa two years ago.

  • Hey SuperCurly! No her name is not Leah, although Leah is one of my favorite names :-)

  • will this gel leave my hair all hard??

  • Sorry for taking so long to reply - I would classify the result after drying as "crunchy" not necessarily hard. To avoid the crunchiness you have to use a leave in conditioner under the gel. IC Fantasia does not work well with leave in's. You have to use another gel like the brown ECO gel.

  • Considering this is your first video you receiving lots of vies. Nice job. It came out just slammin'.

  • Thanks!

  • Now thats beautiful

  • Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

  • Oh thank you soo much for showing how to do a wash and go. Finally some directions. So would I have to wash my hair everyday if I did this.

I hear the Honeybush tea soft hold gel from Qhemet Biologics was a good gel and is noursihing and moisturizing. So it could be a good option for you.

  • Your welcome. I hope that the video is informative. You may not have to wash your hair everyday. Sometimes I would just spritz a leave in conditioner all over and apply some more gel here and there. If you do decide to wash your hair everyday I would recommend only doing a conditioner wash and not using shampoo every day.

  • This gel gives beautiful curls to 4A hair. I did the same thing with my hair for years. I had to stop though, using gel long term is horrible on my hair.

  • A hair stylist just told me to stop using gel for my wash and go styles. I purchased some products by Design Essentials from her that are supposed to work really well on natural hair. I'll post some pics after I try it.

  • your hair is very pretty can u do a product video

  • Hi Schrece - thanks for stopping by and commenting. For this style I only used the IC Fantasia gel. For the co-wash I used the Herbal Essence Moisturizing conditioner in the blue bottle.

I may eventually do a product video . . . let me check my stash :-)

  • Love the curls=).The brown gel your ref to is eco styler gel? I think it clumps my curls better then fantasia gel,but I'll still have a small section of the sides at the nape area that stays puffy with any gel.The IC really works for you.

  • Hey Cherri7,

Yes I was referring to the eco styler gel. I just learned that eco has large variety of gels in different colors. I used the brown one with a hold level 7.

I've been wearing the blow-out/flat iron look lately so haven't gotten around to doing the video yet.

  • Thanks - yes all I used was the IC Fantasia gel.

I have a new technique that I got from Youtube using a leave in conditioner and a brown gel (Ecu). I will try to do a video using those products in a couple of weeks.

  • looks so pretty!

  • Thanks Dancermickey!

  • wow, that looks great. and all you used was gel to make it pop? i cant wait til I get some more length to try this.

  • Thanx for the video. I have 4b hair and wonder if I can do the same--what do u think?

  • You are welcome! I don't know what type my hair is. I haven't taken the time to figure it out - but I guess I should :-) I say just give it a try one weekend morning and see what happens. I "discovered" how the gel would do in my hair by trial and error, so don't be afraid to experiment :-)

  • Nice!
