Why not just buy a couple corner clamps, save time, be more precise, and not have to get out multiple materials with tape, clamps, and scraps of wood with the nails and string? Definitely worth a few bucks each if you're gluing more than one set of miter corners in your lifetime.
iv always used tape for miters, i recently glued up a bulk head with 3, 16 foot long miters on MDF. Tape is a god!! Mr. Neils idea with the string as a clamp is awesome! i will try it.
Awesome, I tried every corner mechanism I have and could think of. This one is so obvious and genius that it didn't even occur to me.
ringo45, even with the corner clamps I could not get the corners as tight, this also works great for small boxes where you can't fit corner clamps.
Thanks for making this video, saved me a lot of time!
