  • Worked perfectly and now speakers work

  • It's still not working for me

  • I just fixed this on my comp.

Do what he shows and force the audio from the mic array, except select to force it through the speakers in that drop down menu.

Then go into the IDT audio settings control panel and on the right right click the little picture of the headphone jack that is malfunctioning (mine had a little yellow question mark on it), now click to have it play through the speakers. My audio started working the instant i clicked that, the mic played through, this is after days of nada

  • it works!

But i still have the problem after a new start!

    What should I do?

  • THANKS MAN

  • please helpppp. what to i do if i do not have a LISTEN tab in the microphone array properties.

  • I had this problem. Dell tech came to house and said they had to replace my hard drive. I refused and told them they HAD to fix it without replacing hard drive and that it could be fixed because the headphones worked, so it had to be a short somewhere. I told him to fix it and he did.

  • Thank you so much! You've saved me so much time and effort!

  • working but the quality of the sound is not the same ...

  • Did not work for me. Could you please check it on your thread on the Dell forums? Thanks.

  • Thank you!!!! Dell replaced my new motherboard (for another problem) with a refurbished motherboard. The best part is that they refused to guarantee this "new" part for a year. I just now experienced the headphone jack issue on the refurbished motherboard and after dealing with "Dell Support", I will never buy a Dell again. In the meantime, you have fixed my problem. Thank you!!!!

  • Whats the link?

  • This solved the problem with a Latitude E6400

    Thank you

  • My dell was having this problem as well. I've downloaded the driver and still nothing. I'll try this and see what happens. I had many other issues that have been solved by Windows Service pack two. Since installing a new hard drive my computer has been a PITA! (pain in the a)

  • Suriously I just don't have a "listen" tab by microphone array properties :/

    Problem still not solved :s
