Personally I would have liked to have seen Prometheus or a similar like Anti-Batman character - the Prometheus-storyline would have fitted nicely into the League of Assassins story. Another good idea would have been to have Azrael appear but this will probably have to wait until the produce a TV-series (one day).
So, this triology comes to an end and all we can do is wait for a re-boot that will come as sure as the sun rising ... just little worried, seeing how many of the characters (Spiderman/X-Man) get the "Twighlight Saga"-treatment ... at least Nolan had the good taste not to cast Justin Bieber as Robin *shuddertothink*

I think Riddler and Bain (Brain and Brawn) should be villains. But riddler should do more with his riddles e.g complex mathematical equations or computer code or something and Bain should be a grotesque hulk, disfigured but wayyyy strong.
@MadaOOS Bane isn't supposed to be just a grotesque hulk. he originally was a smart villain that happened to have a steroid-like substance pumping through him. but stupid writers and artists can't stick to the original batman stuff. just like the dark night. cool movie but the joker didn't just show up in gotham. he has a storyline. and a damn good one but as good as christopher nolan did with that movie he didn't pay tribute to the great storyline that make batman villains great

Since Bane is the main villain of the last movie, I would HIGHLY doubt that he would be some stupid hulk. He would definitely be the smart villain who was able to find out that Bruce Wayne was Batman and then patiently plan in order to break the Batman's back.

He was a costumed psychopath who just showed up in Gotham and started killing people. As of now, there is no one canonical back-story for the Joker. "The Killing Joke," while a fantastic graphic novel, is only one of many possible back-stories for him. Thus, Christopher Nolan was arguably adhering most closely to Bob Kane's original vision of the character.

The first batman saga i read was Knightfall and i can tell Bane is smart, he could tell the difference between Batman and his double (Jean-Paul Valley/Azrael) just by observing the way they moved. @parker1093 I agree, this is most likely fake. If Harley is in this then the Joker should be present as well. Last time I checked he was a villan and he has ALWAYS been responsible for Harley's change. I doubt he accomplished it off screen. Amazing what you can do with Photoshop. Who the hell is Black Mask by the way? I've never heard of him. If he's not a main character villan then he should be replaced by Penguine. Of course the only villan I know will be in this for sure though is Riddler...
@herpderp323 he didnt die they made it seem like he died but there were some suttle hints that showed he lived. the main example is the coin landing heads up after batman tackled him off the building...why else would they show that? and i kno what ur gunna say they held harvey dents funeral and everything. that wasnt a funeral notice there was no coffin? that was a recognition of HARVEY DENT'S services to gotham and covering up what he had become.
After Nolan's movies are over I'd like a new director to take Batman in a direction that allows the imagination to run wild so that not to many limitations are made on the movie. Something along the lines of a live action adaptation of Arkham Asylum

Well, you got one villain correct. Only not so much a villain, more of a female anti-hero. Yes, it's Catwoman. And Bane will be in the movie. It's confirmed that Riddler might not make it into the 3rd movie, and nothing has been said about any of the other villains that you've posted. Not calling you a liar nor am I trying to say you're wrong. I'm just laying out the facts and staying optimistic and neutral.
Hugo Strange has never even been rumoured to be in the film, let alone confirmed - where did you get that idea from? Are you sure you weren't thinking of 'Arkham City', the next video game?

Recently Gary Oldman hinted that the main villain will be from the really OLD comics. This rules out Bane. Could be catwoman however I doubt it because Gary then said "If I told who who the villain is I would have to kill you". Furthermore suggesting that the main villain is still unknown...so how about JGL? His role is still unconfirmed. I think he will play the riddler or just even edward nygma
From what I've heard, Catwoman is supposed to have become an ally by the end of the film, so it won't be her. I'm also pretty sure Nolan has confirmed that the Riddler won't be the villain, which is a shame, so I've got my fingers crossed for Black Mask :)
@Scrummy64 I'm not sure about Blackmask to be honest. As I said before, I think they could do a U-turn with this no Riddler talk and he may actually be in the film lthough its just a minor possibility.
The reason I doubt Blackmask is because recently Gary Oldman who plays Commissioner Gordon said that the main villain will be from the "OLD comics at the beginning, the really old comics". Blackmask was introduced in 1985 so i'm sure its not him seeing as batman was introduced in the 1940's.

Black Mask would be an awesome villain, but then seeing as 'The Dark Knight Rises' will be the last of Nolan's Batman films, we probably won't get to see him :(

The penguin introduced in 1941, catwoman appeared in 1940, Mad Hatter in 1948 and Hugo Strange in 1940.
Out of those I think it will more likely be The Riddler or Hugo Strange. The main villain is still a mystery as we don't know who it will be yet and don't know the role Joseph Gordon levitt will be playing so obviously it will involve him as the main villain. Blackmask appeared in 1985 so that would rule him out.

I think Riddler and Bain (Brain and Brawn) should be villains. But riddler should do more with his riddles e.g complex mathematical equations or computer code or something and Bain should be a grotesque hulk, disfigured but wayyyy strong.

@NinjaSoldier52 Actually, in the original appearance of the Joker in Batman #1, the character was given absolutely no background. He was a costumed psychopath who just showed up in Gotham and started killing people. As of now, there is no one canonical back-story for the Joker. "The Killing Joke," while a fantastic graphic novel, is only one of many possible back-stories for him. Thus, Christopher Nolan was arguably adhering most closely to Bob Kane's original vision of the character.

@parker1093 I agree, this is most likely fake. If Harley is in this then the Joker should be present as well. Last time I checked he was a villan and he has ALWAYS been responsible for Harley's change. I doubt he accomplished it off screen. Amazing what you can do with Photoshop. Who the hell is Black Mask by the way? I've never heard of him. If he's not a main character villan then he should be replaced by Penguine. Of course the only villan I know will be in this for sure though is Riddler...

Recently Gary Oldman hinted that the main villain will be from the really OLD comics. This rules out Bane. Could be catwoman however I doubt it because Gary then said "If I told who who the villain is I would have to kill you". Furthermore suggesting that the main villain is still unknown...so how about JGL? His role is still unconfirmed. I think he will play the riddler or just even edward nygma

From what I've heard, Catwoman is supposed to have become an ally by the end of the film, so it won't be her. I'm also pretty sure Nolan has confirmed that the Riddler won't be the villain, which is a shame, so I've got my fingers crossed for Black Mask :)

@Scrummy64 I'm not sure about Blackmask to be honest. As I said before, I think they could do a U-turn with this no Riddler talk and he may actually be in the film lthough its just a minor possibility.
The reason I doubt Blackmask is because recently Gary Oldman who plays Commissioner Gordon said that the main villain will be from the "OLD comics at the beginning, the really old comics". Blackmask was introduced in 1985 so i'm sure its not him seeing as batman was introduced in the 1940's.

The penguin introduced in 1941, catwoman appeared in 1940, Mad Hatter in 1948 and Hugo Strange in 1940.
Out of those I think it will more likely be The Riddler or Hugo Strange. The main villain is still a mystery as we don't know who it will be yet and don't know the role Joseph Gordon levitt will be playing so obviously it will involve him as the main villain. Blackmask appeared in 1985 so that would rule him out.
