@theloudhalo Yeah, I hear you loud and clear. A man like that can wash the dishes, scrub the floor, paint the house, plant and tend a huge garden, raise and care for a half dozen chickens, dig and maintain a goldfish pond and raise worms. He can also occassionaly wank himself off for prostate health or die waiting for his dance partner to do it for him. I know this type very intimately, I've been married and dancing a jig for the same woman for thirty three years.
@2cexplorer it's Austin, Texas. Please come and visit us. Lot's of people these days don't like us but we still like y'all. Evangeline Cafe is the real deal without the threat of Hurricanes and oil spills. You need a vacation. How do I know? Because we all need a vacation.
Fantastic! Great!. Marvellous! Unique! By the way of music I want to show you what musicians of Brazil and Argentina and Paraguay are doing in folklore music with a accordion and other musical instruments. If you want, please search for these 4 videos, really interesting, special and awesome:
- Voninho e Marcelo
- Tio Mederico- Dvd Os Serranos 40 anos- Sempre Gaúchos
- CHANGO SPASIUK EN FORMOSA KILOMETRO 11 -10/10/2009 (4)
cher',you needs to get deep into the bayous, where dey dont be know roads, dat there is where the culture is still found.and they still trap and fish and pass a good time every saterday nighty at da fau' deaux deaux.
Well, I've always heard that they're not too welcoming to outsiders - not unless you have a family connection. And my family connections to the bayou are becoming pretty distant.
yeah...its Evangelines in Austin...it maybe in a crummy little strip mall, but there are times its heaven on earth [especially when youre stuck in Austin lol]...food aint bad either...
This is my most popular music video ever, because you can feel love in the air.

It's sad that unique regional cultures in
America have largely been replaced by pop music, fast food and shopping malls.

It's a pity that most Cajuns don't teach their own children about their culture. At fifteen I have to search for my own roots. It's really a shame
AshenJustice 2 years ago 2
Yeah, I know the feeling. :-( The culture's going to die if it keeps up.

I have to say that seeing these dancers gives me so much pleasure,
They are obviously enjoying themselves (and their culture)
It's a pleasure to watch.
Thankyou

How natural and beautiful to see these players and dancers just enjoying their heritage.
Thanks
