What is the meaning of the word "Darshan"?

'Darshan' is the glimpse of a holy one.

Darshan is seeing, and being seen, by an enlightened one, and receiving the benefit from that. But Amma goes beyond that and gives darshan in the form of hugs which transmit part of Her pure vital energy to Her children which awakens them to spiritual growth, and it helps them to experience unconditional love. She turns no one away.

Not sure about her divinity, mayby she is saint, only god knows, but beeing like her in this world it is miraculous. And I felt much better after hugging her, because it is better to live knowing that all people around your brothers and sisters and really love them with all your heart. Love Amma, love all of you!

I am biggest sceptic of all, but went to hug Amma with my pal and really she only teaches that people should love each other, and I liked that she proves it by hugging them and like this gives her love, very simple and touching. And she also sings songs, mostly south indian style and such a performer she is! I am still sceptic, but I wish it was more people like Amma and I really like what she does and who she is. Really amaising woman she is!
