  • She stares at me as if she owns the world > Her Hitler hairdo makes me feel ill

  • Okay soo just thought I should clarify. Nirvana's preferred genre of music was grunge. Radiohead's is experimental. Sure, Radiohead's earlier albums were more alternative than experimental. However, Nirvana's LATER albums were more alternative than grunge, with grungy features. Radiohead sounds and sounded nothing like Nirvana. Ever. The two bands are completely unrelated and in my opinion everyone debating on "HERP DERP REDAOHAD URR NURRVERPA" should just shut the fuck up and enjoy the music.

  • @loobanex

Both had the best albums of the 90s. Nevermind and OK Computer.

  • They aren't alike Radiohead has a very distinctive sound and sounds nothing like nirvana so you know shut the fuck up and listen to the song

  • Nirvana and Radiohead are my two favourite bands and it's like a fucking dagger staped into my heard when i read stuff like that :(

  • This song, Noise canceling headphone, full volume, im in heaven

  • I like Nirvana.I think Kurt's lyrical part was outstanding and maybe even on the same level with Thom's. but when it comes to music composing Radiohead are light years ahead.

  • nirvana is one of the worse thing god ever created

  • @rockdro shut up you cunt. without cobain you wouldn't even know radiohead

  • @rockdro cunt, they are both great. Sandy cunt u are.

  • they should do an album of lofi stuff

  • th lyrics!!!are different!!and "this is what you get" in loud tone!!!:-)

    when you mess with...me!

  • th lyrics!!!are different!!and "this is what you get" in loud tone!!!:-)

  • th lyrics!!!are different!!

  • lo fi radiohead

  • THE GUY UNDERNEATH (OR MAYBE WHEN I PUT HIS ON ABOVE ) MENTIONS COBAIN ..COBAIN IS NEVER EVER NEAR THE SAME LEAGUE AS THOM ...FACT

  • @ANULBEARD

I underrstand the love for Cobain, great songsmith but no where near Thom's genius. Plus hee's still alive.

  • This was recorded in 1996. Not sure when the exact date though.

  • wow...that pictures just...wrong wrong wrong...

  • "Karma police arrest this girl

She stares at me as if she owns the world

and we have crashed her party"

    Best line from this version

  • he is embarassed about it xD he said somewhere, at frst they were overwhelmed by their fame, he bleached his hair and wore extensions.. and took up modelling? (or was it jonny/someone else?)

i don't like how the "what you get" part is higher here, but in the final version sometimes it seems too low for Thom to sing live xD lose-lose situation!

  • Colin Looks way worst Lol. o-o

  • He only looks like a tool because he looks normal now and doesn't go for "rock star" shit anymore.

  • I like the other version better.

  • The best version!!

  • you can't imagine how exited i am.

at the end of the song he said "we're gonna stop there then..."

it's like my bands rehearsals... when you play a song and it still can be changed into infinite possibilities.

    ho music. love. mummy.

  • I like how they changed the final version to "Us" instead of "Me" It sounds more empowering the fact that he's speaking for the whole band, or community.

  • the police force xD

  • They changed it a bit, the line in this video is "she stares at me as if she owns the world" instead of "her hitler hairdo is making me feel ill.

    I like that line better.

  • um ok

did i say i didn't? Follow your rock god's commandment & blow your own head off why don't you

  • love thom's hair here,

    jonny is the sex.

  • its really different

  • thom looks kinda like a girl

  • SEXY!

  • sounds muffled a bit T_T but still zexy as hell =)

  • different lyrics at the second verse too

  • whoa

Kurt Cobain phase there with the hair

  • ha ha lol! u right!

  • Everyone loved Kurt--what can you say? And if you didn't (at the time), you were a freak of nature.

  • Cobain could wish he was Thom Yorke. all apologies, yes...?

  • @imslicc both are equally talented and amazing. Please don't compare the two.

  • @imslicc why would you even say that? Both of these musicians are genius in their own right. That's like saying Garth Brooks wishes he was Neil Young.

  • @imslicc

That is awful. Cobain was a genius, he didn't have to wish he was Yorke because he was certainly at the same level talent wise. I mean, just like cbrooks0905 said, that's like saying Brooks wants to be Young. Separate music styles, similar at the base, but completely different by the end of it all.

I mean, your denouncing a guy who had not reached his full musical potential, hell, if he had, you might of been saying the same about York. Respect the dead.

  • @imslicc Uh, they aren't the same. I love both.

  • @imslicc Not really, Nirvana and Radiohead are two of my favourite bands. Why are we arguing about Cobain vs Yorke? Two absolute geniuses in song writing who are very similar in what they believe in and how they make people feel about their lives. Fuck this argument it's stupid, I'd rather see people complain about Lady Gaga.

  • Great song...for a minute there I lost myself listening to it.

  • oh god

  • phew,for a minute there even lol

  • I like Thom's higher-pitched voice in the bridge.

  • @Maquiladora83 chorus idiot

  • Comment removed

  • Do you know anything about music, jonjon?

  • @jonjonwhii verse chorus, verse, chorus. bridge or in this case the outro of the song is "for a minute there a lost myself" which he sings at the normal key as the album. "This is what you get when you mess with us" is the chorus; that he does sing at a higher key.. correct me if i'm wrong.... :D

  • @jonjonwhii He merely sings an octave higher than we're used to, it doesn't change key.

  • @westparkwolf that's what i meant. octave higher*

  • @westparkwolf actually, it does. the verse and chorus "karma police arrest this girl" and "this is what you get" are in the key of Am. The outro "For a minute there" is in the key of Bm it think. im not sure, but im sure it does change keys.

  • @XDPeruMan

You're absolutely right, the key does change for the "outro".

If you read the comments again, you will see I was responding specifically to jonjonwhii and his question regarding the chorus.

  • @westparkwolf lol oh well, my bad then

  • It's really good, it sounds raw and fresh. I like it.

  • I think this is at greatwoods in Mansfield MA. At least thats where they first played it, so thats my guess.

  • I think this was from 1996 when they were supporting Alanis Morrinette.

  • good pic

  • i like it

  • Too bad the sound's not good ! It is so interesting to have this demo
