thats is a stupid amout of backfiring. its not tuned properly its too rich and wasting fuel. Need a proper air fuel mixture to create max power. So even if doesnt have a flame thower kit...it sure looks like it does that or some idiot tuned it poorly

sahiel is right, its also about your valve overlap. think of the engine in its most basic form- a pump. and in high tunes the valve timing is set so incoming air on the intake stroke pushes out exhaust along with the rising piston. this in turn flushes out some unburnt fuel/air from intake air during the exhaust to intake stroke transition. high temps in your cat or carbon particles will ignite the fuel exiting your exhaust
